I was just wandering about how impressed you were with the supercharger and How much faster it feels. I'm trying to decide between the GT and wait for the VVTL-i supercharger or go with the base model with supercharger. I just read that the VVTL-i setup with super charger would put the HP # at 220. but that all hinges around the ramblings of toyota and GM. Also what would be stopping us ifwe walked down to our toyota dealership and bought a TRD SC and installed it on the VIBE? Does Gm change stuff so it won't work on the vibe or it just doesnt' happen because people are afraid to grasp the Toyota part in their "Pontiac"?

someone did mention that the ecu is different prohibiting trds use on the vibe. but pontiac charger should be out before toyotas anyway.trd hasent updated their site in years i dont think theyre in a rush.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
also....I have heard the matrix people belly ache, because the pontiac price has been estimated lower that the trd price....go figure..but since it is not released yet...who knows??...I you want my opinion...as someone who has a turbo on my base vibe...just out of simplicity, I would opt for the gt...and forget about all this 5th injector nonsense...and enjoy the high revs and fun of the 2zz w/ a 6spd...

In response to not supercharging the GT, I've read that aftermarket companies are experimenting with turbo's instead. Check out the write-up on the Matrix project vehicle. I stumbled into this website somehow. If you read the whole article, it doesn't look very promising, but at least people are trying to make it possible.http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/projectcars/Click on the link, and scroll down to the Matrix project car.
thanks but that info has been hashed over already xs engineering hs had that turbo out for a while. its for the gts celica but most parts fit.

From what I saw, it was putting down some good #'s to the ground...dont remember what they were off the top of my head...but the only negative thing I heard about the kit ,unless I got it wrong,is that "lift" has basicly been tune out of existence in this kit....at 6000rpms your not going to get that "pissed off" lobe lift along with the the turbo pull..just the turbo...(how can I say "just the turbo"?..I know)..

lift ???? i thought you had a base vibe not a gt .blitzs supercharger goes to low boost on the big came. xs engineerings turbo just makes mad power with lift, the spike on scc matrix xrs was so redicoulous you probably have to shift as soon as you hit lift. but as for the one zz should be steady power.if you had my mrdyno you could make a run and get a number down it does torque too.

I do have the 1zz motor ,but I was just talking about the xs kit...its for the 2zz...and ...i reread the posts from new celica .org..they xs kit uses the power fc for engine management...the lift now starts at 5800 and the revs go to 8700rpms...but keyshawn says that lift is less noticeable because of the turbo...but guys, ..the vibe gt and matrix xrs cant use the same kit, because the intercooler plumbing will be diff...and the space for the exhaust manifold could be diff...the down pipe would be diff...the Ic may not fit...and most importantly , the ecu's are different, so the power fc would be progamed wrong for our aplication...most likely....I know for sure that the celica gt and the vibe..same 1zz , but diff ecus....for sure...

Yeah..but when your read it , it says:they used the xs enginerring kit hardware..AND an electromotive tech II for fuel and sparks, and vishnu tuning to to tell it how to get there.....so I am gueessing that means the xs kit manifld, turbo , ic fit ok ..but could mean that the made it fit...and that the electromotive tech II is an engine management unit that vishnu tuning had to dial in for them.....that is not quite the same as as puttng the gt-s kit on the xrs....

The only ramblings I've heard are that the supercharger will add close to 35%. 130*.35 = 45.5 If you add that up, you're looking at closer to 175.5 by the numbers. That is assuming they didn't overshoot the 35%. I wouldn't be suprised if that was the case.

i believe the kit is avvailible without the power fc (1000$) and they chose the tec2 instead. some thing about them liking crank fired direct ignition or something.anyway most of the stuff will work with little to no modification and most of their mods is unecessary if you tune it down to the output of say.... blitz supercharger you might get away with piggyback like greddy emanage(400$) andyoud still have a wicked fast 2zz(dare to venture low 14s)for a celica.at about half the price of blitz charger. speaking of turbos and such what the deal with your ride, update us. inquiring minds(mabey just me)want to know?

At the Matrix, Celica, and Vibe(me) meet at Seaside there was a dude with a Celica that had a turbo 2zz-fe, i think he said the hp was like 210 or something........

hey satur9,....whats up w/ my ride?? right now it is in the shop getting my Ic pipes replaced...because the originals were only painted....they are steel...but they would normally rust on the inside even if painted....so when my turbo was installed originally, the guy who does powder coating for Stafford Fabrications...well...his machine was down...so with powder coating , they can do the inside of the pipes to prevent rusting...so that is where my car is right now....eventually I will take pics ...and post the finished product....plus I need to get a new dyno to post as well...
