I'm thinking of installing a CAI, but I would like some feedback on what the CAI does to the sound of the engine(at idle, mid-range revs & near redline). Also, since I only have the Base/Auto, would I really hear and feel(response-wise) the difference? I'd appreciate hearing about any of your experiences.

Pretty much what Lancer said. Awesome, awesome mod! It's quiet a light to mid throttle, but bury the throttle and hit high rpms it makes a nice, shrieking, ripping sound. Very, very nice sound. A friend who has a 2001 M3 drove it and absolutely loved the sound. It's not quite like the V8 roar of my Corvette, but it's a very unique and nice sound. When I just want to cruise around, it's as quiet as stock.Very much a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality, especially with my GT version Vibe.
