Ok, who can help on this one. Over the past 5-6 weeks, my 2005 Vibe auto, will shift funny when first started. At first I thought, maybe it's the cold weather, but then I noticed that it would do the same wheather it was 70, or 20 outside. When I put the car in gear it will only rev to 4200 before shifting. It will do this a few times before allowing it to rev to 6500. If I leave the car in park I can rev it to 6500, but when I put it in gear it will shift at 4200. Help!!!

Are you sure this isn't normal behavior? I always drive rather conservatively until the engine has warmed up anyway, so I haven't noticed this. But it seems like a reasonable action by the engine computer to limit revs with a cold engine.
This is normal with a cold engine. It will not allow you to go over 5000 when driving until the engine is warm enough. For my car, it won't go over 5000prm until the temp gauge reaches half way thru the second red bar from the bottom.

Our trannys aren't the greatest but the above posts are correct. Our trannys shift like crap until the engine/tranny is at normal operating temperature. You'll experience lagged shifting, hard shifting, etc. with a cold tranny.
