Need help on a hood decision,Today.

Post by kevera »

I really need help from everyone on this one. After all that's happened in the last few days,I can't clearly make a decision. The first hood I can get for $175 shipped(SLP) and the 2nd(RKsport)will cost close to $1000 shipped to me.I had the RKsport, but I didn't think it fit the look that I was after.I need to order this soon because the Vibe is at the body shop and have to get it ASAP.1:SLP HOOD2:RKsport Hood

i say go for option 1 because it's cheaper and because you said you didn't like the RK because it didn't have the look you wanted. hopefully everything will work out for ya.

That's a good question.Because the SLP hood is setup different, and directs air to the air box.It does look far enough back, but I really don't know for sure.I wish someone that has one can help out with this.

I like the SLP, only because of how it flows with the body. Unlike the RK with its buldge, being a distraction from the rest of the car.But you could always get both. You get the RK one and send me the SLP for a Christmas gift.

I never really liked the RKSport hood much except in CF, so I would definitely say go for the SLP. I highly doubt it will cause any problems with the S/C.

i like the RK much better, however for the price and quality, go with the SLP. That's a smoking deal!

My uncle in Montreal knows someone at Streetforce.I tried to get him to setup a group-buy but he declined. If I can get more I will let everyone know.Right now,I really need one. After the landslide win,I just got off the phone with him and he'll be shipping the SLP hood.

another vote for the SLP hood, it looks much more "appropriate", the RK looks like an add-on

being a fan of the evo, i really l ike the jsp, but that was a limited run, apparently, and now, seems there's a couple with finish problems. i've always liked the slp. nice lines. like mentioned above, ther's no bulge that kind of looks like a stick-on. the slp comes with a short ram, i think, and when the hood is closed, vents air directly to the filter.go for the slp, kev! and by the way, where can you get it that inexpensive? edit: doh! just read your post above. hope streetforce reconsiders the group buy...

I'm curious where you can get the SLP hood for that price...that's a smokin' deal.
