Sweet. I was going to get a Pacesetter Header for my old car. Not the greatest of headers but years ahead of the stock one we have to deal with. All of you cheapos out there now have nothing to complain about. Pick one of these up!

I had a set on my truck and the price was right for me. The only thing was after about 1000 km I found the sound did change. Since these do not seem to be alumicoated or cerramacoted then rust will be a problem. The heat from the header will bake off the paint within days then the rust will start on the first damp day.

Hmm I wonder if you put header wrap on them if it will help prevent rust? Or if a local shop can ceramic coat them? Maybe a high temp paint?

I'm sure that's all possible but you'd have to look at costs. The total price may get close to a DC Sports and then that makes the pacesetter moot.

The header wrap will instantly void the warrantee of the headers. It may slow the rust but on a daily driver it would not stop it. I have heard of the coating beind put on but I would not even know where to start to look for that. If you are going to use the header paint. Bake the existing paint off. You can use an oven but make sure the wife is not around when you do it.

I had a Pacestter header on my old '96 Sunfire. On that platform, it was the best mod for the buck. It helped all through the powerband.I stripped the black paint off once I received them and sprayed them with several coats of hi-temp resistant header paint. It bubbled off within minutes... I also dremeled down all rough spots and smoothed out any imperfections.I'm curious to see how these do on our cars.
