So I don't do much electrical work on my cars, but I am really interested on putting in some led's into my cupholders. Can anyone give me the easiest way to get power to them?Pics would be great please.

Here's a thread from MO: http://matrixowners.com/index....ldersI've been meaning to do this for ummm... ever hahaI've actually got a switch sitting in the coin holder spot under the e-brake but it does nothing
there are wires under the center console that go to where the 12v plug should be (05s and up are missing that plug but the wires are still there) Just use those for power
you cut/strip the wire then solder the two wires together or solder the wire to the appropriate contact on the switch. Look at step 8 in the how-to I linked.I'm no expert at electrical stuff so if you don't have much experience I suggest getting someone to help you or hopefully someone that knows more about will post here.
Here's a good link for it:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=30662And the 12v socket wiring is the easiest to pull from. Use a quick connect tap in (or vampire clip, depending on the store or person, they'll be called by different names) if you don't care to strip/solder. The 12+ wire will go into one side, and the + wire from the switch will go into the other. Then clamp down on the metal of the tap-in with a set of pliers and the connection's made. Note: the blue/white wire is the +. See this thread for details and pic of the wiring underneath the console. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=13711 Then ground by either tapping into the brown/white existing ground, or to the bolts holding the console to the frame.
