Anyone else own a DSM

Well my lazer is down again and I was wondering if anyone else owns a dsm. Are they always this much of a problem?

i know people that own them and yes...that dsm engine is good and bad at the same time. they leak oil like its their job, but when they work they can boost. I always thought if you couldnt fit a dsm your self and mod it and what not...its not worth having :s

dsm = diamond star motorshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond-Star_Motorsits like the joint venture of chrysler and mitsu. they call that 2.0 i think engine the dsm for those lasers/eclipse/talon cars.

I had a 92 Eclipse, non-turbo, I rebuilt the tranny, and motor, had it running real strong, ready for a turbo upgrade, and then some lady (I had other choice words for her) T-Boned me and totalled out the car... I might have some pics of it somewhere... before and after the accident, I'll check maybe tonight.My friend had a Talon TSi... only problem is that is was auto.My car wasn't much for problems, but it's no Honda or Toyota so I did have some little stuff that pissed me off.

yeah if you can get that fixed cheap or do it your self...and the car is in decent shape, i say do it. when they run good...their great...but when they start leaking that oil.....trouble ahead
