http://www.dailypressandargus....50301Quote »Driver rushed to hospital after rollover crashBy Matt SmithDAILY PRESS & ARGUSA 46-year-old Holly-area motorist was rushed to the hospital after a single-car rollover crash Saturday night on U.S. 23, police said.The driver, Laurie Marie Reddig, appeared to escape serious harm in the accident, the Livingston County Sheriff's Department said.The Sheriff's Department said Reddig was traveling northbound on U.S. 23 near Faussett Road in northeast Livingston County, about five miles north of the M-59 interchange, when a bucket bounced up from the roadway and struck the windshield of her 2005 Pontiac Vibe.The vehicle went off the expressway and into the median, rolling several times before coming to rest on its right side against a guardrail, the Sheriff's Department said.Personnel from the Fenton and Hartland Township fire departments freed Reddig from her vehicle, and Livingston County Ambulance personnel transported her to Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc to receive treatment for her injuries, the Sheriff's Department said.Reddig was wearing a seat belt, the Sheriff's Department said. Alcohol and speed did not appear to be factors in the accident, the Sheriff's Department noted.The Michigan State Police also responded to the scene of the crash, which was reported at about 8:05 p.m.http://www.whmi.com/news/article/article5378.phpQuote »Woman Escapes Serious Injury in Multiple Rollover on US-23November 4, 200711/4/07 - A Holly woman may owe her life to the seat belt of her 2005 Pontiac Vibe and the fact that she was properly belted up. 46-year old Laurie Reddig was northbound on the US-23 freeway in Tyrone Township Saturday night when a bucket bounced up from the highway and struck her windshield, causing her to swerve into the median near Faussett Road. The impact caused her to go out of control and leave the roadway, where her car rolled over several times and then hit the guardrail. Reddig was trapped in the car and had to be removed by personnel from the Hartland and Fenton Fire departments. She was transported by Livingston County Ambulance to Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies say it appeared Reddig escaped with only minor injuries. She was not ticketed. (TLT)
