How to get the horn to chirp when you lock the doors

Post by parsonsd »

I have gotten use to when i locked my doors on my Dodge that the horn would chirp too. Now that I have a Vibe I miss this feature on the car because I find it easier to remember if I locked the doors by hearing the horn instead of just the lights blinking. Does anyone know if the vibe has the ability of chirping the horn when the doors lick with the keyless remote and if so how do you go about changing this setting?

You have to purchase a modification ket from a Genvibe member - I think it is GMJAP. i have one, and it works excellent.

I did a search for the horn, and here is the link that should answer all your questions, looks like he's (GMJAP) sold out, but I'm sure if you PM him he can give you an ETA if he'll get anymore. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=20692

As much as I miss the chirp on my Civic, I gotta say when you pull in after 1 or 2am you can sneak attack with a quick button push and light flash, no horn.
