If a fat Honda Fit and a Honda Insight got it on, they would give birth to this.

So far, it reminds me of William Shakespeare's "Much ado about nothing".

I think I'd pick up the 09 vibe... although it does look nice.

I hate it. Theres no look of proformance. It's just a yaris that has no diet. I hope the vibe is a little bit better looking.

(removed)...that is seriously the ugliest effin' car ive EVER seen. Im sorry. The old matrix's look SO MUCH better. These are just...eeew.. to slanty and has no asthetic looks to it. **UPDATE** EEEW. just look at the window lines. ugh. the 09' vibe is gonna be a beast compared to this debachle.

I don't really understand that b/c the Vibe's window lines are the same as the Trix The only difference is the Vibe will have the port window instead of the small wrap around windows. If that's what you're refering to then I agree and prefer the Vibe.

I think thay did the wrong thing. I will draw my idea of what thay sould have done. The only thing i like off of the car is the body line dips by the door.

No offense, but you guys are hilarious and rediculous at the same time. You got a new Matrix and Vibe that have more features and options than it previously had. You have a more powerful 1.8L (dont' give me anyting about only 2 more horsepower, you got 8 ft/lbs more torque and thats pretty good) and a 2.4L. If that isn't enough for you, you'll probably have a factory supercharger for it shortly too. That puts you up to 200hp and a (removed) load more torque than the measly 139ft/lbs that the Civic SI has. You also have two different body styles to choose from. How many other cars can you say that about? What more do you want?

I don't like how the taillights stick out. And also the front comes to too much of a point and the grille is out of place and small. Other than that it's not bad, but I don't think it's a step in the right direction. The Vibe has a beefier front end that makes it look like it's packing more power than it is.

I'm sticking with my 05 for a long time but I have to say even if there's no ultra-high-performance model... the 2.4 with AWD and a 5-Speed sounds pretty good

Every GM car is a copy in each division almost so yes...many cars oh ford does that too...and every other manf. I dont mind the look, i just think that front looks like a yaris instead of the new corolla/camry that looks nice and mean.

I would love to have the 2.4L engine in my current Vibe. Hell yeah!!I think the Exterior of the new Trix is just OK. Not great. Not horrible.I didn't care for the big arch over the front wheels but the more I look at it the more it is grows on me.I do thing the Vibe will have more appealing lines to me based on the GT pic posted earlier.

Are the new Vibe and Trix co-developed by GM and Toyota like the old ones?

Hell yeah!!It does fit nicely in the new Matrix!!One interesting difference compared to prevoius Vibe/Matrix engines...looks like the exhaust manifold is in front, intake in back. 'tis backwards. Will be a lot easier to install a header now, but probably a bigger pain to install an intake, especially cleaning the throttle body. They're both probably DBW now so I don't think those get as dirty as the cable-drawn.

lol, they put the engine in backwards, what a great idea (just a hint of sarcasim)i was checking out the matrix on their site and they said it still has a 4 speed auto, imo thats pretty stupid, they should use a 6 speed cause they would have gained roughly 7% efficiency. also, it would have been cool if they did something like the DSG (direct shift gearbox) that Audi uses

I believe for the 2.4l engine there are 3 tranny options - 4spd auto, 5spd auto, 5spd manual. Eventually tranny prices will go down and we'll get more speeds.

Having another gear probably won't change that. The manual models are well over 3000 at 75+ too.

I like the new Trix, bet there are more enine mods for the 2.4 than our 1.8. If the exhaust manifold is in the front...that leaves a lot of room for boosting. I like the front end, weird.

The Matrix is atrocious in my opinion, but to each his own.
