Polished Injen Installed!!!!

Post by GT_03 »

I just got finished putting my Injen CAI in. WOW!!! What a great performance and sound difference. The best $200 I could have spent. Installation went very well with help from a couple buddies. Will post pics as soon as i get off work tomorrow.

Hi GT_03, looks like a great addition to your Vibe! What kind of sound change from stock? Would my Base sound comparable (with a CAI) up to the point that you hit LIFT? I've been thinking of a CAI, but don't know if it would really benefit my Base/Auto. Glad to see you enjoying yours!G.W.

You'd definitely notice a difference in performance in your car with a CAI.

Yeah, i agree. Even before "lift" the sound is much improved, but not to overly loud.

Good to hear everyone's enjoying the intake. One of these days I'll get around to putting mine on.

Quote>What kind of sound change from stock? If you want a preview, just pop the top off the air cleaner temporarily, and go for a short blast (stay out of dust clouds, of course) and you will get a pretty good approximation! I thought my 1ZZ sounded pretty good, but I suppose it's not in the same league as hitting lift on a GT...

Very nice! I love the Injen intake in my GT. I really like to see the look people give me when I hit lift. I swear a couple of people have gotten whiplash! LOL!

You did it in the right order - if you had done an exhaust first, you wouldn't get to hear it so easily!

Your's has different decals then mine! They look nice! By the way, did you paint your engine cover letters (VVTL-I) or is that a decal? It looks real nice. I was planning on getting mine decaled cause the painting thing is not working on mine.

It's not painted, just clean. I swear it is like a carinval ride, people are lining up to go for a ride. It really throws you back when you hit "lift".
