Thanks for this information. My daughter just traded in her 2004 Chrysler T&C for a 2007 Caravan SE. She is not as careful or detailed as I am when buying a car. The Caravan has power door locks but not keyless remote entry. I don't understand why - keyless remote is now standard on most very basic models. I could understand not having power door locks at all - but to have them and not have the keyless remote makes no sense. Perhaps this $60 kit will work. Her husband is very handy when it comes to installing such things.

I'm not sure but in some car, when power door are installed, you only have to program a remote that you can buy at the dealer. Maby you should call them before you buy the kit.

It would be awesome if you could document the whole procedure.I can handle no power windows, but the manual locks are driving me insane. It's really expensive to have them done at a shop and this kit is very affordable. Thanks!

Ok sorry if it took lots of time but now it's done and it's working really fine. I won't post some pics, because the companie that does the kit has some really good pics and step by step instruction on how to install this on a cable type car. So here is the link:http://www.a1electric.com/cablelock.htm

to do a good job like me It took about 10 hours, but I really love the result. It wasn't hard but you have to take your time to choose a good place to fix the actuators, to do the wiring properly, and to make sure that there is no rattle after the install.

haha no problem but I forgot to mention that I don't have a garage, and I did it in the black with a flash light By the way, if you're up for a trip in québec, I could help you with your install, so it could take 2 or 3 hours lol.

no the actuator you can unlock with the stock button, but if you want you can add different buttons. When you unlock one door, the three other opens. And it's the same thing with the keyless thing, you only press one time on unlock and all doors open.oh you can also add kit for the hatch to but I don't think it's nessecary, and it's probably really hard to install.
