WHY WHY WHY!!!

Went to the post office today, had about 65 packages to send out for work so I went in and got stamps and came back out and just put the stamps on all of the packages in the back of my vibe. It worked very nicely too. So i put the boxes of packages on the curb and closed the hatch, picked up the boxes and looked to my right and there were some boys walking down the sidewalk. They were acting weird, like each was trying to get the other to do something, but theres always kids walking around town after school so I didnt think about it. I took the boxes into the post office and not even 4 minutes later I come back out. I get to my boyfriends house and look at the passenger door and it has been keyed!!! How ticked off am I! I havn't even owned the car for a week and already it has a big scratch down the passenger door! i will take pictures tomorrow, I was too mad to do anything about it today. I dont know who the kids were, I dont even know for sure that it was them, but I know it wasnt there last night and thats the only public place I have been as my boyfriend and I both live in the country.It starts deep enough to feel but its not a gash, and the rest I can't really feel it but it looks awful. my boyfriend said that it could probably be buffed out, but for real, its just rediculious. why would someone do something like that? I finally get something nice that i can call my own and some jerk [insert foul names here] kid has to come along and screw it up!! I'm just so angry. But yes, pics are definitely coming and I will get some close ups of the scratch.I never would have expected something like this on Main Street in Hagerstown population: 2k.

amanda!!!man, i feel for ya! not long after i got my vibe, i'd pulled in to the local walgreens to grab something real quick. within a few minutes i came out of the store (like you), and noticed that the jack nut, whoever it was that had parked next to me had pulled out and probably cut the whell to quickly and left a nice long dent and scratches on my rear passenger door! luckily like you said, you 'only' have a key mark that can fortunately be buffed out. took mine to one of those dent removal places. got it pretty much fixed, but the fact that it happened really pissed me off...there are some really stupid people out there who get their kicks doing this stuff . we can only be so careful...hope it gets fixed up soon.

Sorry to hear that. I had a personal attack done on me (I'm pretty sure it was my mom's punk neighbor, a 40something year old loser) my Grand Am was keyed from end to end on both sides and I remember his car being parked by mine one night where I worked, but I didn't put two and two together until after the fact. MOST of it came out using scratch out, but some of it was just too deep-not to the metal, but still more than just a surface scratch on the clear coat.Some people are and always will be butthead losers, jealous that other people have nice things and oh yeah...have a job!

Richmond, sure, New Castle, Maybe... but Hagerstown! I know some of the kids are terrible but i know most of them. I shouldnt blame the kids that I saw cause i have no proof other than they were there and i didnt see anyone else. At night, ya, it wouldnt surprise me so much, but at 4 in teh afternoon - when everyone is out driving around.Well, i hope they feel really great about themselves for it.I've always heard that bad things come in threes... and so far thats been pretty right on in my life. 1.Got hit by unidentified flying object on Interstate. 2.Car breaks down in Bloomington, have to spend the night. 3.New car gets maliciously attacked.Hopefully nothing else big for a while.And you are right, it's only a scratch and luckily is not as bas as it could be. They were amature and too scared to do anything more.When your car got hit, was there no camera or anything in the parking lot? That's a hit and run. My friend wants me to ask the local businesses if they have cameras. But its such a small town and even if there were cameras it would be pretty amazing if they were set at the angle it would requre to get my car on video.If I knew the kids names I could just call the local police officer and have him scare it out of them. I dont necessarily want them to get into too much trouble for it - I really just dont want them to do it again. and they are yuong enough that a visit from the police would do them some good anyway. I will definitely be more careful about where I park and who is around.And wow! End to End! I would have poo'd a brick if they had done that! I would have chased them down and made them pay for that! I dont care if I am over 18 and they are little punk wannabe loser twirps. They would know why to never mess with someone bigger than themselves. lol. It's good that most of it came out though. I think that most of this will come out, but i have a feeling that on the one end that is deeper will still be visible. I have a neighbor that does body work adn I think i may call him - even if his prices are a little high - I didnt buy a nice car to get a nasty scratch in it.Back to work...

The kids at times are more daring than before. There were kids keying cars at work when me and one other guy caught them in the act. We managed to get one of them and held them until the cops arrived. The parents were going to try and charge us with assult for grabbing one of there kids by the backpack. It was dropped when 24 people started to charge the kids with vandalism and starting the small claims process for the repairs of the vehicles.

Wow, that sucks. One of my employees was backing up my truck and trailer and busted the driver's door so it doesn't close anymore.

sorry to hear that. kids and people now a days have no respect for other people's property (or people for that matter). i came out on Monday to find someone had backed up into my front bumper! it's a deep scratch, all the way through the clear bra and down to the urethane/plastic. probably a red truck since it was on TOP of the bumper and there's red paint embedded.

That really sucks...remember the American looser kid that spray painted some Mercedes on a dare in Singapore about 10 years ago and he got CANED? Now I never though much about it until I saw a utube video of an actual caning in Singapore...and let me tell you...the blood and ripped skin on your (removed) is something to behold! Probably worth implenting here un the U.S. Heck we allow water boarding...why not cane kids that vandalize personal property!

ok, ok, so its not the end of the world, of couse this is only about 1/4 of it, but it is the worst part. It does look a bit worse in person. I know, I am lucky and it is only a scratch, it could have been much worse and I think it can be fixed so that it is not noticeable.Anyway, I finally got around to taking pictures, it was really sunny so there is a pretty good reflection. Maybe one day I will take some funny reflection pictures, that sounds like fun. I still need to get some good pics of 'the hotness with the hotness'

damn i'm sorry to hear that. my vibe's been hit with eggs n shavin cream before. fortunately i got it all off in time so there was no damage, but i know how you feel. i'm sure your bf n neighbor will get it lookin good as new. Similar situation...I was walking out to my car in the apt parking lot to get in to go get groceries when... I notice this long wavy lin across most of the rear passenger door above the bumper strip.My heart hit the ground and then my blood began to boil. Who keyed my car?!?!As I took my finger to feel the damage, the white wavy line stuck to it and started to come off... it was a damn spider string from some stupid spider web! I was soooo happy, it was ridiculous!So, maybe it wasn't a similar sitation, but I feel for all who have been keyed!
