Do you fine folks think the $45(approx) is worthwhile for a TRD or KN Drop in air filter? Do you really see any HP improvement? I dont mind spending the dough, but I dont want to throw it away either. Thanks in advance. Pix Doc

I've put re-usable filters (K&N & others) on many of my cars and motorcycles. I don't know that you can actually feel any difference, but the piece of mind is there that it is supposedly higher flowing, AND you can clean them out and re-use them. Over the long run, you probably don't save any $$ due to their cost, but it makes a good selling point to the wife.

You aren't really going to feel any gain although there will be some. I put one in my wife's car and didn't really notice a performance gain. I just know I don't have to change it again for at least 50,000 miles.

It's a weee bit more work. I've 4 on my bike and you do have to take them off, wash them with warm soapy water and re oil them. So, be honest with yourself... you gonna do that? If you answer yes... go for it! They, when clean, have better filtration which is great for the car.If you don't think you will spend that much time cleaning the thing you may be better off staying with the disposable paper.Just my two cents

a recent test in import tuner did a rsx intake test=20 whopping hp with a cai and -1 hp. with kn dropin the 1 hp is dyno negligible. so you probably wont gain any horsepower. it if you wash it 4 times it pays for itself. dropins are more a convience mod.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
Just save up your money and buy a CAI. Right now, there is a group buy going on at http://www.matrixowners.com for the AEM CAI. I believe they are selling for $170 not including shipping.-Slink

If your a preferred customer your price is $24.30. A member at matrixvibe.net bought one from me and is very pleased with it.http://www.matrixvibe.net/forums/viewto ... &highlight
