The Reason I Bought The Vibe

Post by Truckin1999 »

Well the reason I ended up selling my Blazer, and buying my Vibe was the baby that was on the way. He finally arrived on October 6th at 3:12 AM!! He was 8 pounds 1 ounce and 22" long. His name is Mason Dean, and he is absolutely perfect! I am really excited, and so far parenthood has been great. Mostly eating sleeping and pooping at this point. That will all change very quickly. So far I am very happy with the vibe. The baby seat is a tight squeeze in the back, but I came up with a solution for that. So far the mods include tint, Magnaflow Cat-Back, and roof spoiler. I do miss some of the features of the Blazer, and the ability to go anywhere. The interior on the Vibe feels cheap, even with the Leather. The stereo sounds great for factory components. All in all, I'm a happy dad, and I'm happy with the car. Click on the pics to see my albums.

Dang...you got a baby...I'm so jealous! LOL. In the plans for me...hopefully soon, since I'm getting back in shape and have an interview for another job that looks very promising. Your baby is beautiful! I'm so glad to hear that the car seat issue is doable!

Congrats on the baby. By coincidence, I traded in a 2002 black blazer ZR2 in April for a new 07 Vibe. My reasons were because the extended warranty was about to expire, and because I was getting around 16.5 MPG combined city and Hwy. I drive 50 miles round trip to work everyday so it was getting pretty expensive. So far I love the Vibe, but there are times I miss sitting up real high and that feeling like you can plow through anything, but getting double the MPG makes up for a lot of that. Have fun witht the kid, they grow up fast, mine are 19 and 20 now.
