Finally..... and wow! it will be even more difficult to wait til 09 to buy mine (after my tickets, accident and LGT are all off and paid for).http://forums.nasioc.com/forum...62436Quote, originally posted by fuzzycuffs;19633869 »Starting a new thread because I guess it warrants one, being official pics and all.Official picshttp://www.autoblog.com/photos...0799/(sorry if they were already posted)Mods feel free to delete if the sneak peek thread is enough.
the way i see it, it's like going back to my Vibe GT, mazda 3, subie love child! i do miss the VGT, it was a great car and fun to drive, but i love the performance and handling of my subie. i also love the styling of the MS3, so this is kinda like a cross between all of them. except for the price tag and insurance. LOL. can't wait!!!! 18 mos and counting now! (March/April 09 or a little afterwards)
and you get it right hand drive!!!! wow, I wasn't sure by the commercial's that I've seen if I was going to like the new look, but these pictures sure back up how good the STI will look...
well, there's a lot of love/hate going on in the subie community because it's not the "traditional" subie rally car... too bad the first rally car was the old early 90's legacy twin turbos. so not sure why people are freaking out about how it's not "tradition" LOL.car looks pretty good to me and i can't wait to get back into another hatch! however, for all the bells and whistles, it'll be spendy. good thing i signed us up for the Subaru VIP program pricing so we get 2% under invoice, not to mention, we always get a good price since Phil works there. sheesh! i just don't know if i can wait another year!!! LOLi love my leggy, however i WANT one of those BAD! and a few have offered to buy my leggy IF i decide to get rid of it and go with the STI (if i don't keep it- but i really want to).
the reason i like that is because it's not the traditional subie!i'm willing to bet that more will be sold than previous versions because the look will appeal to more of the tuner crowd.

That IS hot, it's one of the first times i've said that... kinda like when the bugeyes came out, EVERYONE hated it... It'll look much better with some red overlays on the tails... I lifted this from the Underground Graphics guys, to give them the proper credit...
Ya, that looks really nice. I wonder how much is different from the STI and WRX Hatch. Looking at the WRX Hatch, I wasn't very impressed and thought all the new Imprezas were nasty, but this looks damn good. Something about that curve on the size.
at least some of the interior and the fact its 9 inches wider. Love those fenders. Still not liking the tail lights. But thats easy to correct.Sure is looking sweet. Can't wait to add one to the garage.

so i believe i'll be looking to sell my LGT and pick up a new STI hatch next year, however, my tech says to wait a good 6 mos after they are released so they will work out some of the bugs. in fact, at that point, i may just end up with the 2010 model vs the 2009. I believe they will be released in feb or march next year as an 09. then again, if i end up waiting til october (i want to order the car), than i may just wait til the following spring time like my original plan, have the LGT paid off and then buy it... *sigh* too much to decide! LOL.
i want the sti hatch. just not sure when. i'm told i need to wait a good 6 mos after they begin production so they will work out the kinks in a new model. funny, i was told this by my tech and one of the owners of the dealership. LOL. regardless, one will be in our garage sooner or later. i just hope i can keep my LGT too. if not, the vultures have already been surrounding the car for parts. LOL

i'll probably hold off til the 09 comes out, i can preorder and have it arrive in Dec like the 08's are now. If that's the case, the time line will be almost perfect for me. car will be close to paid off by then and what I sell it for will be used to put into (not all of course) the STI over the winter....I still want my GT30R set up, FMIC, and other goodies.... 400 awhp, no need to run 24 psi unless it's at the track. but here are some awesome vids at edmunds.com. one of the STI and the other of the STI vs the Shelby. I love the last quote in the STI review:"The STI has grown up, you should too."LOLhttp://www.edmunds.com/apps/vd...nce#2and no, we don't rob banks. Phil works at Subaru as a service advisor and I own my own business....
