There was a thread on here not too long ago from somebody who bought a similar kit. He said that he was going to post a "how to" when it was installed. I can't seem to find it, and I don't believe he ever posted a follow up.

yeah it was me but I'm not finish wet! It's a really big job that needs to be done slowly if you want it to work great and dont have ratles. But if you want to install power door and power windows yourself you better be really ingenius, because the aftermarket kit you'll buy from a compagny like a1electric.com is not bolt on, so you have to make some holes, cut some metal, and the worst is to be able clip the door plastic. I have a hard time to do it and I don't do the power windows. But if you are patient, ingenius and have the help of somebody(I don't have), I'm sure it can be done!!!! For your information you'll need the cable style kit for the power door. You can buy it from a1electric.com, it cost a little bit more than those on ebay, but they are build in swiss, and the actuators are really strong(I've test them!) They also lots of power windows kits, and the shipping took a week, but I'm in Canada so it's really good. If you need some info I'm always there to help!Sorry for my english, I'm french!!!

Your English is much better than my French! I'm interested in power door locks, especially keyless entry. Good luck. Looking forward to the finished result. Is that a Bermese Mountain Dog in your avatar? You should post a picture in our pet thread. We like pets as much as Vibes!

Any updates on adding power door locks?I am going to order a kit from A1electronics.com that comes with a keyless entry remote, that way I may be able to get by without having to install door switches. I'm sure the kit's prefered wiring method will have to change for that to work properly though. What were the issues you ran into with mounting the actuators?

the only issues I had was that there is not alot of space to mount the actuator, and the lock cable is not long so you can't play with it the way you want. For your info, I have this kit install for 2 months now and it still working fine. If you have any questions, post them.Good luck!

I may ask my brother if I can pop a door panel off one of the power lock Vibes sitting in the dealer lot where he works to see where a factory actuator is mounted. I ordered the 4 door kit with the best Hornet (Directed) alarm system and keyless entry that A1electric had available and it will be here next week, so this will be a project for the weekend of 12/15. I'll keep you posted with any questions. I just hope my tweeters and crossovers for my component speakers that I mounted in the door panels aren't in the way.
