Direct Hit!

Post by Nervous_Dog »

I can't believe this happened to me yesterday afternoon. I was sitting at a stoplight enjoying the sunshine when all of a sudden, WHAM! I get hit in the arm. Yep, that's right, a duck pooped in my open sunroof. I am still in shock. I had a convertible that didn't have air conditioning so I had to have the top down every day during the spring and summer for 4 years and never had this happen. I've only had my Vibe for 6 weeks and it's not that big an opening. Stupid-sharp-shooter-fly-by-pooping ducks!

That's not funny Nervous, but your post sure gave me a chuckle! That would be MY luck!

I was a bit mad when it happened but I can laugh about it now. On the other hand, my fiancee thought it was hysterical. She laughed for at least 5 minutes and had tears in her eyes.

It is always so much easier to laugh when someone else gets **** on! My sister got it at Busch Gardens a few years back, and I still laugh every time I think about it!

That is amazing. At first I thought you had your arm hanging out the window ... but thru the sunroof? Amazing. And I would also be laughing hysterically (if it didn't happen to me!)

The good news is it landed on your arm not on the seat or onsomthing else.

I've been hit by bird poop thru the sunroof in my Honda before but like you never once in the years I had my convertible. So far so good with the Vibe and I keep the sunroof open unless it's very cold or raining.

quote:I have a compulsion to keep the windsheild clean - I'm always squirting wiper fluid onto my head through the moonroof - I never seem to remember to closet he roof first !Know what sucks more? Opening your moonroof after a rainstorm or during a drizzle, and then braking at a stop sign. Any water that accumulates on the roof flies forward and nails you RIGHT on the head, and your passenger too. It's HORRIBLE!As to washer fluid, it only seems to hit me when I'm stopped. If I spray while moving, the wind manages to carry it past the opening. *phew!*
