I'm glad it's finally here. I'm not making any predictions yet, I'm just happy the Steelers won their opener. I'm anti-Patriots, so I hope they don't make it to the Super Bowl. I'm just sick of hearing all the football talking heads worshiping Tom Brady. I'm picking the Cardinals as being the most improved team this year. I think they finally have the coaching staff that allow them to take the next step.

a horrible injury in the first week of the season. the buffalo bills' kevin everett may never walk again. stories: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7209 ... 8944better news... the pat's ellis hobbs set a kick return record for 108 yards, and randy moss is startin to look like he used to in his minnesota days and i saved the best news for last :the cowboys won!!! 1-0 baby tony romo went 15-24 with 345 yards and 5 touchdowns, leading the league in passing for the first week. he averaged over 23 yards per pass; makin him the first QB to do that in 36 years. i think romo will be one of the top 3 quarterbacks in the league within the next 3 years. i love the progress he's making.one of the funny moments this week was the giants botched PAT after the game's first touchdown that looked a lot like the field goal attemp that romo slipped up on last season. i'm sure tony was standin on the sideline with a lil smirk on his face. that might have helped him relax and allow him to perform as good as he did tonight

man, this MNF double header was pretty close to the kind of game i like to watch. comin down to the last few seconds of each game. they both about ended the same exact way, too. man, the ravens vs cincinati game was an injury and turnover plagued hour of playing time. chad johnson's touchdown celebration was ok, but not as good as it was hyped up to be. i expected more. the bengals had the higher numbers on the scoreboard, but the higher turnover and injury digits were on the ravens side. hopefully ray lewis' arm injury isn't too severe, i think his absence for even a week will hurt the defense a lot.the cards really need to work on their o-line and their problem with false starts. i don't think i've seen a game with that many false starts, that was horrible. neither the cards or 49ers(not counting the 9ers final drive) did a great job on the offensive side of the ball, but pass defense was great for both teams overall, i think this was a decent opening for MNF2007to the giants fans: how do you think your team will do without eli if he's unable to play for the next month??

Why do teams keep hiring Norv Turner to be their head coach? He failed with the Redskins, he failed with the Raiders, now he's running the Chargers into the ground. This guy should not be a head coach!

Well the Giants finally won and beat the Redskins, defense looked good, Eli was throwing well. So I'm happy we are 1-2 thus far.So as a loyal Giants fan I'm still putting them into the Bowl, lol. No I won't bet on it, I'll bet on the Rangers making the Cup though!!!!
The Giants tried really hard to lose that game at the end.Steelers are 3 and 0. I just hope they don't put those ugly throwback jerseys on again. How 'bout those Eagles uniforms?

mmm 1933 Back in style! Here is a funny article I found about them. While watching the Buffalo - Pittsburgh game last week, I noted on the Epic Carnival that the Steelers were wearing a hideous jersey that wasn't really pleasant on the ol' retina. The jersey was to commemorate Pitt's 75th anniversary and now the Eagles are going to do the same thing this weekend, only they'll be sporting some threads that are actually worse to look at. Seriously, this is the equivalent of getting raped by a disease infested whale right in your eye-socket.The Fanhouse calls it the ugliest uniform ever and I think I have to agree. It's the uniform that the Eagles wore back in 1933 and it basically makes me very happy that I wasn't alive back then to see it.Baby Blue is a tough color to pull of in the NFL and mixing it with that shade of yellow will probably just help to give little Chinese kids seizures. So either the Eagles hate the fact that your eyes are still in good shape, or they just want to blind the hell out of the Detroit Lions players this Sunday and finally get their first win of the year.Whatever it is, I advise you to not look directly at them...
The Eagles throwbacks are hideous. I couldn't watch more than a minute without my eyes hurting. I kept flipping back to the Jets/Dolphins. On another note, I'm glad my Giants finally won a game but I'm not getting excited just yet. The defense has a long way to go before they earn my respect back.

He couldn't sit up for longer than 90 minutes before he was moved to Memorial Hermann Hospital from a Buffalo hospital on Friday."Nobody can predict the future, but if Kevin continues to show recovery, I am optimistic of a good outcome," Castillo said.Everett was injured making a tackle during the Bills' season opener against Denver on Sept. 9. The initial prognosis was bleak, but has brightened considerably. Still, doctors said they can't be sure of a complete recovery.Besides that GO BUCS!!! 2-1!!!

How bout Houston! coming this close (hold thumb and pointer finger close together) to beating Indy, and with some of thier top players out for a few games. watch out for houston this season 2-1.
Wow, the church sign worked. The Giants beat Philly and covered the under. Giants D sacked McNabb 12 times!! Now that was an old school NY Giant (removed) whoopin.
I can't believe nobody has pointed out that my Lions have matched their total wins last season in the first 4 games already. 3-1 baby! And we beat the Bears, which gives me some serious bragging rights with the coworkers. That Eagles blow out was a fluke, and a wakeup call for our defense
Although our Lions are doing well, look at the teams that they have beat. Even though the Bears are a good team, they have a horribly injured defense and have quarterback issues right now. All I'm saying is not to get your hopes up. Every year everybody talks about how "this is the year", but every year they disappoint. I hope they prove me wrong this time.

My Wife is from Livonia, so we follow the Lions games here in "Donkey Country". I'm happy my Raiders are 2-2. Don't know why they didn't start Culpepper to begin with this season!

I hate to be the one to say this, but they played like C-R-A-P tonight! They did not deserve that win, but I'll take it either way! If they play like that next week they will get run over!

How about my Steelers shutting out the Seahawks? So much for the Superbowl rematch.

The Giants/Vikings game should be interesting today. Jacobs and Ward are out at RB, leaving Droughns and a little known player named Ahmad Bradshaw filling in. Watch this kid. He was the fastest player on the field in training camp and he's got some sick cut back moves. He can burn you for a TD on any play. It should be fun to watch.
