I just made the purchase for the Escort passport 9500i. My friend had the 8500 x50 and loved it, was about to buy a used one but the guy selling it kept me out of the know and sold it to someone else for more....So I said * it and bought the new 9500i with the gps extra crap in it. Here it is:https://www.escortradar.com/9500i.htmMy friend knows people that have it and they just love it and find the gps feature very handy to block the false alarms and where speed traps are. Ill let ya'll know how it goes once I get it. I drive a TON on the highways so this should come in handy for those emergency situations.....Anyone else have a 9500i or a 8500?

I know I almost posted there saying...dude its used you cant ask for full retail price I got mine off escort's website so I get the 1yr warranty. It cost $449 + shipping. If you purchase your radar detector anywhere but escort you do NOT get the warranty, I figured for that much cash being taken away from my ps3 fund I should just buy from escort

Yeah that and if it warns me...what..3 times it could pay for itself..although i currently have zero tickets. But the used 8500 i was going to buy was only for 100..well that deal fell though so..whatev, these things last a long time anyway. My friend has had his 8500 for 3 yrs with no problems what so ever.Wasnt that guy posting it over on 9thgen too? I thought I saw it on 2 sites...but I was like (removed)!? are you kidding? on ebay new they are like 50 bucks off but then you get the sellers "warranty" well...ive been on ebay long enough not to trust the word of anyone on there but yourself.
man... you must be ballin.... get a turbo already! hahaI would love to get one... just too much money. : (it looks SEXY all black and grey.

i used to use an 8500 x50, but last winter, after my biggest speeding ticket ever (just about $700) i decided it was time to change my ways, so i stopped speeding, and yanked the unit from the car. it's been sitting in my closet ever since. it worked fantastically though. only reason i got nailed for speeding is because he paced me, he never used radar. otherwise i woulda known he was there.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

You got an instant message - interested in taking that 8500 off your hands if the price is right.
