I've noticed in some forums that people have lowered their vibes with coil springs. Do I need to change struts also or does it depend on the springs? I just want to maintain my tires and handling. I plan on new 16 inch wheels after the drop.If you know of a related forum please post it. Thanks
If you lower your car, you must have an alignment done about a week later. This allows the car to settle completely. If you don't get an alignment, your front tires will be done in a few thousand miles. There is no need for new struts.

I know my back struts were pretty weak before I sold the car to my folks. Then again I autocrossed it, it drove across canada... twice. and saw a lot of use. Changing springs from stock will always cause a possible issue to the struts because they compress differently. People have blown their struts before.I wasn't to concerned about it myself... but if its a concern to you, I would advise springs and getting rear struts that will support them.
