toyota cavalier

Post by chevelle_lover »

I have read where some people complain about the Vibe being based upon the Matrix and the Corolla. They also say that GM does not send anything over to Japan labelling it a Toyota. Well they do not even change the name or the styling of the car when it is sent to Japan.http://www.cars-directory.net/...alier/

Find some sales figures on that Toyota Caveliar....they had a very hard time ditching them....most of them ended up in rental fleets

The Vibe was sold as the Toyota Voltz in Japan, exact same styling and everything. The Matrix was not sold anywhere except US and Canada. Hopefully the new Matrix will be based off of the Toyota Blade

Yes GM did export the Cavalier to Japan as a Toyota. I used to write the service manuals for Cavalier in 2000 and at that time GM did. Basically nothing changed but it was a right had driver and the fuel system and keyless entry systems were different, badges too. I had a 1998 Z24 and put a few Japan Cavalier only items on it. Made it pretty cool too!
