Rear-ended <sign>.

Post by Cougar Vibe »

Wife was driving our Vibe last night and was rear-ended. Very minor damage...minor scrapes and paint to the rear bumper cover...but still pisses me off. As w/99% of thes accidents, occurred at a stop light. Claimant #1 rear-ended clmt #2 (behind my wife), pushing him into our car; clmt #1 drove off.I guess I'll try to look on the brightside: No one was injured, clmt #2 has insurance, I have full coverage (including U/M on my policy) and I know how to play the game...I work as a claims adjuster. And most importantly, it wasn't my G6; the bumper cover on that thing is freaking rediculous/$$$.

That sucks, what kind of jerk hits 2 cars and drives off? I hope you get everything fixed and I hope they catch that jerk.

The cops won't find the guy because they refused to come to the accident scene. The irony of the thing is that the accident occured about a hundred feet from the city courthouse...where the police station is. Sure glad I'm paying my taxes for those new Dodge Chargers they're driving.

A 3 car accident plus hit and run plus right next door to the cop-shop? Sounds like a good time for a "letter to the editor" or maybe the local TV station would like a shot at it. Your wife and the other person who got hit by the bad driver and ask the chief o' police about the policy that leads to that situation.Happy she's all right though!

That sucks especially since it happened so close to the courthouse, but glad your wife is ok.

I was almost in a similar except the guy behond me turned his wheel to the right and I moved up at the same time as the collison since I saw it all in my mirror. I got out and then the cars behind me involved did... The passenger in the car behind me did not and I asked the driver if he was OK, he said I think his back is hurt. Nothing more I could so since we have crappy No Fault in this state so I drove away. At least I stopped and kind of made the truck that caused it all to stop, get out and not drive away! Glad your wife is Ok like the others said!

ouch. man that is not cool. did the cops give a reason why they wouldn't come out??i like psiu's comment, i'd do that there was a hit n run out here the other day that caused a hazmat spill. some people are so damn stupid, i don't know how they're able to survive this life
