We are now the owners of a new 2007 Wave color Vibe. It has the sun&sound and sport pkg. with auto tranny. I got to drive for the first on the way home from the dealership and it handles surprisingly well for what it is. It's buy no means a Miata(my daily driver) but it corners good and has plent of pep. Should do my wife well on her paper route. She took it on her route this morn and noticed the cigarette lighter plug in only works with key on.(She plugs in a d/c fan in it for a little air when bagging papers). Is this true and is the lighter plug in the only d/c outlet? I'll post some pics when I can get my camera back from my daughter. She keeps it at school to take pics of slides and things. Well I'm of to plug a screw hole in the front pass tire that she picked up on first night.... Some things never change.L8Rsssss

on an 07, the lighter plug is the only DC outlet, and nobody has bothered to make it be on all the time (not switched). However, earlier model years had an additional 12V outlet in the center console (between the seats) and it is a relatively easy mod to add it back in.See http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=13711 for how to add it ( and http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6403 if, after adding it, you want it to be hot all the time)Flat tire the first day. Hopefully now that it has it's first injury out the way, the bad luck demons will leave it alone

Wecolme to the site! Great car! Stinks about the nail but I had similar. Car had less then 10,000 miles and I got a nail. Had it patched and no issues after.

Thanks for the welcomes..Wifey seems to have bad luck with tires. At least these will be cheaper to replace then the 20's on her Ram..I'll check out the mod to ad a dc plug. thanks for the link...Had Lott Mather here in Plant City trade a Palm Harbor dealer for it...L8RsssssssssHere's 1 photo. sorry about the poor quality(camera phone)but my digital camera was stolen from my daughters locker at school.
