so i just lwoered my car and i had to disconnect my subs and when i went to hook everything back up i accidently grounded the remote wire thats connected to the output on the bacjk of my head unit.....i fixed it an plugged it into my amp where it belongs but now im getting popping noises from my speakers and my subs r making a baffling noise but also beating to the beat of the song.......my uncle said i fried the outputs on my head unit when i grounded that wire and i need a new head unit......i just want to know if u guys know this is for sure before i spend 200$ on a new head unit
Well man, what do you have to test with? Do you have, say, a home audio unit that has RCA inputs that you could connect and try? That would be your best bet...I remember Radio Shack used to sell a test speaker it only has a mini jack input, but, with a female to mini adapter you could easily test each RCA output and check... http://www.radioshack.com/prod...earch
im going to take my cousins head unit this weekend and try it and then ill know if its my amp or the head unit which sucks cause theyre both really expensive haha i might just sell my subs i got them for 99$ buy 1 get 1 free thanks for commenting back tho
