Screw these stupid freecrdditreport.com crappy we need your credit card sites. I hope this puts a big dent in their buiseness. The only bad thing about the free one is you can only check it once a year, but definatly better.

another draw back is that they also don't have to give you your becon rating. this is THE credit score. all they HAVE to provide is your credit record. for fraud pourpuses and such.so it might not dent their business.

Free is good. I think the last report I bought was 30-something bucks. But I have since subscribed to a $9 monthly service for reports from all three bureaus so I can keep tabs on this stuff.

I will never pay for one, its a bunch of crap. Now that you can view it once a year it will be no big deal not buying one. These credit places are a bunch of thieves anyway, hope they all go out of buiseness now!

I got mine free earlier in the year from all 3 as the new legislation went though. But even before that I watched over my credit like a hawk. If you were ever denided instant credit at a store or had a check not clear right away for any reason you were and still are entitled to a free copy of your report within 90 days i think.

you can also protent to be interested in buying a car. they will run a credit report with score. al you have to do is ask for it. most dealers will hesitate at this. just put your foot down and claim you will walk out if they don't give you YOUR credit report. either way, they have to atleast show it to you. i was once a car salesman.

go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com if you want your free credit report. However, if you want your actual score all 3 of the bureaus charge for that "privilege".Mike

Then they've changed, 'cause I rejected the monitoring service and was not charged. Maybe after a trial period you can cancel the service for a full refund but you will have to pay to receive a credit score.
