Vibe cargo cover vs. PT Cruiser cargo cover

Post by meathead333 »

yesterday i looked in the rear of a pt cruiser. i noticed that their cargo cover is a solid piece which to me looks to be a lot stronger and stable. the vibe's, like you all know is a cheap, flimsy piece of fabric. the pt's would be nice if you wanted to put anything with weight up there. but, i guess it is nice though that if you dont wanna use the cargo cover, it can easily be folded up where with the pt's i dont beleive you can(i might be wrong).

As a PT Cruiser owner, our Cargo Cover can hold about 100 lbs,it is also removable and can be placed in several positions. It also slides out when you have the hatch up and sets up like a table so you can have a tray for a tailgate party.I must say that I am very impressed with the Pontiac Vibe,my sister bought one a couple of days ago and let me drive it.While I will not get rid of my Cruiser the Pontiac Vibe is a awesome machine Richard II2002 PT Cruiser Touring Edition

Looks like it ought to be made available. If I get desperate for one I'll just make my own. That's the advantage of having a workshop and a design/engineering background.KSNeptune

KS--I bet you could make a good buck by designing and manufacturing something like that! Just don't make us paint our cars that putrid color to be able to get one. LOL.

The PT Cruiser cargo cover really impressed me when I first saw it. Chevy is coming out with a five door hatch "Malibu Maxx" that has the same kind of multi-position versitility in its cargo cover. You'll have to wait about a year, though. The hired-for-eye-candy spokesperson at the NY Auto Show was pretty clueless about how to demonstrate the picnic table position on the Maxx.

The Aztec also has a neat cargo organizer. The one Aztec owner I've talked to really likes her's. Details: http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/gmgoodwrenc ... 0682026957
