it's pretty easy, backs are alot easier then the fronts, but easy all around..2.5 hrs sounds about right..took me 1.5 hrs on my sunfire cause i had everything..hoist, air tools and spring compressors

I changed mine in my driveway in about 4 hours with hand tools. the longest part was waiting for the local Hires auto parts to change the springs on the struts for me. its pretty easy. good luck

so i got the front lowered and i went to lower my back and we couldn't get a wrench into the whole to loosen up the bolt on the top of the shock.......i'm getting some power tools from my buddy tomorrow so hopefully i can get it done cause i think it looks pretty silly with a 2 in drop in the front and not the back haha the front ones were a pain but the backs look pretty simple but the front does loo kawesome with the drop haha
Thats Awesome, we gotta see some pics of this...I don't think anybody has done a drag-style racing look on the vibe before. Please post some half/lowered vibe pics.
hahaha ok ill take some pics tomorrow for ya............do u know what the deal is with those bolts in the back........do u need an alan and a wrench for it??
Good question, I usually do all my own work, but I don't have springs compressors, so I had my friend who is a mechanic take care of that one for me. I am sure somebody else on this board would know...post it as a separate topic and I am sure somebody will have an answer.
You may need to go to an Autozone and borrow the strut tool, it's a socket that has a large cut out in it to get he hex wrench in... that of if you get an impact wrench, you can reach through the spring with a pair of channel locks and crab the strut shaft as close to the top as possible. The impact wrench moves so fast and which shuch force that you should be able to get the nut off/on that way...
ok cool thanks for all the help .......im going over my buddies tonight and he has a impact wrench and hes lowered his car and a few others so he should be able to help me....but heres a pic of my hotrod vibe haha hopefully tonight itl be evened out haha
