That's very cool man, what is your background? Have you ever built boxes in the past? I have many questions, and this is quite a opening to the site!! I'm a former installer BTW and spend a lot of my time in here... so we'll get along great..!!

Yeah, i was asking about the types of install stuff you had done in the past like WaveAction mentioned... The real reasion i aked is that enclouser looks really BIG for 2 12" kickers... I mean, i bet you could get close to 4-6 in the same space... depending on the sub. I was just concerned as to how you've determined the amount of space for the sub and how you have gone about figuring what amount of space you have? Don't get me wrong in any way, i give you mad credit for starting this... I was just "seeing" things... Also, i was wondering how you are planning on hiding the wires for the amp? Are they going to run into the box somewhere? and then how you plan on sealing the wires inside the box?I'm simply trying to get a feel of where you are coming from and offering ideas.... But, please, if you don't want my ideas, let me know... I just breath this stuff... Although i am NOT a working installer anymore, mind you... I used to be, and gone to school for it to... (some of my background)Cheers, keep us updated,Aaron

guys all ur imput is greatly appreciated, and i think what im doing with the wires is dirlling the smallest posible hole and running them through that with a painted automotive grumit, and for the space i honsitly just guesed i knew it would be large but oh well im goin for looks on this one for sound quaility, the 6/9 arnt goin in the box anymore because i decided that it would be to dificult for my first full sized box, any more ideas would be nice, of BTW i just finished my last layer of glass time for bondo any more imput is a great help because im not to experianced with fiberglass at all

Could you give me dimentions of the box? Or at least the back and bottom dimentions... It's basicly a triangle so figuring out the internal volume won't be that difficult, but i'm guessing it WAY to large for those 2 subs and unless you do something about that, it's going to sound horrid AND most likely kill your subs... How thick are you going to make the glass? I am really concerned about a expanse of space you have being held up by the glass, without any internal bracing, I'm picturing the whole top of the box flexing under the pressure of the subs... As far as the wires, unless they are sealed really well, your box will have leaks, which is bad news as well.... a "sealed" box needs to be, well, sealed... As far as bondo is concerned, make sure you have everything ready when you start... a "rasp" file of different shapes can play a HUGE role in terms of sanding... Once you get your bondo on, right before it hardens up, you want to take as much of the bondo you plan on removing anyway, with the rasp.... This WILL save you HUGE amounts of time in sanding... it'll take a few applications, but anything you can do to reduce the amount of sanding and bondo dust you can do is worth it... Keep a wire brush on hand to clean the rasp to... Do you have any pics of your progress?? That's about all i have for now, we can talk later about how you can go about taking up internal volume to get you in the right volume for the subs...

i was concernd about the size of the box to but its only 1.5' along the base, and 2' high, with a width of 39'. wich gives me an approximate volume of 4.8square feet. and kicker recomends 4.6square feet max for one sub so i think i should be allright i hope. but i think im going to have about 6 or 7 layers now, as of this point i have 4down and it feels frigen soild but i want to be sure, thats for the bondo tips becuase i have never done that part before
