Well, it's set, i'm leaving for Buffalo NY tonight finally, to get the Vibe. I've been trying for months now, to get it sorted and get a ride set up to make the trip.... The only problem is i have to sit in my GF's brothers hyundai tiburon for 6hrs... THAT'S NOT GOING TO BE FUN OR EASY.... And i have to go to my Grandmothers house, she passed in May and i haven't been there yet, not going to be easy...

I was beginning to wonder if you were going to become a GenVibe God without having a Vibe yet. Finally! Good luck on your trip. Just think of how much you will enjoy driving your Vibe during your 6hr trip down there. I bet it will be hard to go to your g-ma's place after she had passed, but here spirit will live on in your Vibe (but not in a ghostly kind of way). Good Luck and drive safe! Post pics when you get back.

You've probably set a new record for most posts *before* getting the car.I'll be taking one of our Vibes on another CA to WI trek next week. The cruise control I added a couple months ago should make it more pleasant.
well, to those wondering why it's been such a problem getting my Vibe. It WAS me grandmas, she passed away a few months ago and with everything going on in my life and my mothers life, we just haven't had the time to get there... My mom still doesn't have time, and well, neither do I. My Subaru has been giving me problems for the past few months... and I'm putting ~2000mi a month on it with my work commute. Being that the Vibe is sitting idle and it gets better gas milage and that it will be much more reliable overall, it was decided that i should take it over for the time being.... It may end up getting passed on to my brother soon if i end up getting hired in permanent at my current job... If that happens I'll probably be looking at getting something new... like a Yaris or the like.... So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it....
Well, I'm back and now in possession of a beautiful Frosty Vibe..!!!37,000 miles and a 2003' Frosty monotone.... He will be "Storm Trooper" from now on.!He was very dirty and in need of TLC badly. I took him to the car wash while i was there and was getting BLACK water off the roof (i had to use the brush, there was that much crap on him) I spent much of the evening last night, working over the interior, that was worse than the exterior. I'll still have to hit the washing/waxing forum and ask some things of Whelan, as the paint is stained in places and the clear plastic over the gages has something on them that is hazy and wont come of using any of the "normal" methods.... All in all, things on the car are in great shape... i will have to take a hard look at the front bumper, it was hooked on a snowbank while backing up and a few of the clips are broken and it was pulled out of the main mounting point at the far corner of the bumper, but it shouldn't be a huge issue....

On this trip there wasn't anyone "trying" to sit in the back seat, so i could put it all the way back and lean it back far enought that my head didn't rub constantly.... It's a decent ride no doubt... it's the Auto with the autoshift option, which isn't much different that a normal auto, it's just the autoshift mode, lets you hold in a gear, so you can actually get effective engine braking... I'm not a fan of autos myself, even though the vibe IS auto, it's not a "high performance" type car, so it fits well...

Naw, everybody knows me as Sublime now, why change... I'm more Sublime than stormtrooper'ish anyway, although, i listen to mostly metal... Odd huh....
