Got mine from Walmart. It is perfect no problem. I would go with the clear paintable one if I had to do it over again.

quote:GM part # 12497386I called a local dealer about that number and he told me that was the deflector for an Aztek.Upon making a few more calls, one dealer told me that GM isn't going to make one at all.It had something to do with the fact that it had to be crash tested to be government approved.I don't know if he's feeding me a line or not, but this is as far as I've gotten so far.

Here is a pic of a Vibe for sale on Ebay that has a hood protector. Too bad the name of the manufacturer is too small to read. I ordered a Wolf Series 2 car Bra, it comes in on Tuesday. i can't wait. Good luck in your search.

Oh, I got two nice 1" long scratches in the front of the hood a few weeks after I got the car. City life is not easy on new cars.I like that one of the pic from eBay! Looks good. It almost looks like "Carflector" ?

I'm getting clear and painting it on the underside the color of the car, so it looks like it should be there. Blends in better. Althought the tinted one does look good.

When I purchased my Vibe, I asked for it, but the dealer told me that it was unavailable, since GM was changing manufacturers. However, I will find out how much the local dealer here in Brampton is charging...maybe cheaper than GM.

We have the hood protector on our Vibe it looks great and it works ,because it already has a small scratch where a Dump truck thew up a stone it is a lot cheaper than having to paint the hood on a new car, it is the carflector made by Vent shade co.

Best way to explain it is to show ya. Not sure if I like this yet or not. I need to install it first. It was only $50, compared to Ventshades $70.
