How many compliments?

Post by Shadow Realm »

How many compliments do you get on your Vibe per day? I get at least a couple everyday. People will just drive along side and roll down there windows and ask what it is or where did you buy it or just a "wow nice car".That's why I am curious. I'd like to know if anyone else is getting this kind of response.Shadow Realm

I have recieved compliments before, but not that many a day. Most of the people who see my car have all seen it before, coworkers and such. But I have had a couple of people stop me and ask me how I like my Vibe. I think it's pretty cool.

Lots. And it's usually summed up with this phrase: It's cuuuuuuute! I don't mind. As long as you don't call it an SUV it's fine with me. I had to correct my bro-in-law, and his response was "Yeah, but SUV sounds better than station wagon." It does? Some may call it a SUV, but not to me - it's a station wagon!!!!!!! LOL!The most interesting conversation was with a girl I work with who just bought a new Outlander. I was outside drying off the Vibe around lunchtime when she pulled up. She was more eager to talk about the Vibe than she was her to new Mitsu. I get more looks than anything. I've caught a number of people checkin' out the ride from all walks of life. From the guy in the beater on up... Heck, one time I saw a guy in a Mercedes turn his head to scope it out as I drove through an intersection. Either these people are thinking, "that's a sweet ride" or perhaps "geez that geeky d00d drivin' sure is ugly." LOL! Or maybe "what's a geek like that driving around in such a cool car..." (removed)! Only way to find out is to get some tint. I haven't had a car that turns heads before. I'm single and in my mid-twenties, and oddly enough every car I've had with the exception of the first was a bread-and-butter GM generic-looking compact or mid-size family sedan. Hardly inspiring, nobody noticed me. But having a car people will check out is pretty nice. And since around here the Vibe's quite a novelty, so that makes it that much better. I see maybe one a week if I'm lucky. Only negative comment I've heard so far was from a good friend of mine, her and her boyfriend are avid ZX3 fans. "It's OK, but You should have bought a Focus." And I jokingly replied "And have it recalled a zillion times like yours? Deep down I think she may have been jealous. LOL!

I personally don't get any compliments anyday. Maybe once a month if at all. I do get a lot of stares by the local people. I have the only Matrix with the bodykit in my town. The 2nd one just got theirs maybe 1-2 months ago. There are about a dozen Vibes in my town though -Slink

I get alot of looks. Not to many questions, but actually two days ago a guy who puts together car shows asked me if I would be bringing my car. I was like for what. And he said alot of the older muscle car guys really like the Vibe. Also no one in my town had a GT, but ME!!

quote: And he said alot of the older muscle car guys really like the Vibe very odd, when you consider its a toyota.....u would expect a muscle-head to be [STEREOTYPICALLY] more INTO domestics. Maybe they are simply proud of GM for having the balls to sell a mini-wagon (for america wagons have been fairly dormant for years) and actually being very successful w/ the Vibe!!

Yesterday I've had three people tell me, "Nice Matrix"Speaking of which, it seems that the Matrix are multiplying like rabbits out here in the Lower Mainland. I see 3 to 5 of them every day. As for Vibes, I might see 2 to 3 a week.

I've gotten quite a few....mostly from people who have never seen the car before. I get a LOT of stares too. And a few troublemakers on the road are surprised I can haul (removed) in it....hehe Guess they'll stay away from the Vibes with the GT badges. My boyfriend says we should take the GT off and fool everyone....but my GT's have the reflective overlays on them so I like them there for now.Back on topic...yea, a lot of people like my car...and why wouldn't they? It's damn sexy.

I've gotten a lot of compliments on my Vibe! I get a lot of people asking me what kind of car it is. Just last week when I was getting gas, a guy pulled up into the gas station just to get out and ask me what kind of car it was and that he'd never saw one before. He also asked how I liked it so far. He told me "THIS CAR IS SWEET"! And Sweet Indeed It Is!

Well, maybe not every day but I've had plenty of compliments on my Vibe. The one and only time when I refueled at a full service station the attendant checked it out very well and wanted to learn about the Vibe. Feels nice driving a car that turns heads.

I get a few every now and then and especially from women in their mid 20s The car that has been getting a lot of comments is the Mazda6. I can have 3 people a day ask me about the car and that's pretty normal. People are just sick of the same old Civic, Camry, Accord, and other ultra common cars.

Haven't really had a lot of compliments on the Vibe so far. I'm sure now that I'm somewhere where they are a little less common I might get a few more, but so far I haven't been out and about too much. There was one on the trip out here though. At a filling station in Nebraska, as I was paying for my fuel, I was asked if my car was the "Gray Van". After hesitantly stating that it was, I was informed they thought it was cute. The person was thanked for their comment and I left to resume my trip in my "Cute Gray Van".

I'm glad most of you are getting similar comments as me. I think that this is going to be a car that you ae going to see more and more of soon. It's good in a way, but I liked it when we were the only drivers on the road with them. More sales means more aftermarket products, I HOPE!!!!!Shadow Realm
