I've noticed during the preseason games, that the quarterbacks have a green dot on the back of their helmets. Does anybody know what it is?
"Don't look to the government to solve your problems, the government is the problem." Ronald Reagan"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin.
It identifies the player with the headset in his helmet. Only one player is allowed to have a headset, usually the QB on offense. I believe it's new this year.
It's to signify that the player has an audio headset. Since you are only allowed one on the field per team, typically its the QB. So if the ref or official hears audio coming from a helmet, it helps them to identify. I was hoping to beat you too it NY!!
