Spoiler Packages--In person impression

Post by MA-VIBE-FAN »

Last night while driving past a Pontiac dealer near my brother's house, something caught my eye. Next to the body shop was a satellite Vibe with both spoiler packages on. Dealer had just finished it that day (actually still needed to put on the exhaust tip) Here is some impressions.Appearance (Technical): In the light I had, I thought the color match was perfect. The spoiler kit comes from someplace other then the plant, so I thought this was a good sign. The seams also looked excellent. No abnormal gaps anywhere, looked like it really belongs. No one was around in the shop, so I could fing out how difficult the install was or how long (will have my bro stop in and ask) but results were good.Appearance (Visual): All the "one" rear spoiler fans may be in for a surprise. I thought they both looked great. It "says" "I'm modified", and they work together to send the message. I stood there trying to deside if I had to take only one-which one would it be. Couldn't picture it. Also the rear bumper extention is great, makes the rear fascia look bigger and smoother, covers the vertical lines below the bumper. You will need the exhaust extension if you get the package because the factory outlet gets lost in the new bumper. The side rockers are nice and lengthen the side of the car nicely. The front extensions are harder to notice the difference (it might have been the Vibe parked next to it had no front bumper to compare-was the body shop area). In a perfect world, "My" package would be just the rear parts (two spoilers, rear bumper extension, and exhaust tip). But anyone who adds the whole package will not be disapointed. The salesman said any kit added at the time the car is sold would be warrantied for 36/36. I asked if this included paint on the dealer painted, and he thought it would, if at time of sale. Not a digital camera guy, so sorry no pics. But if you search GM Buypower, should be able to find Vibes in your area that are equipped.

Thanks for the write-up. The pictures that I've seen make it look pretty ricey. I mean, seriously, TWO wings/spoilers? Isn't that a bit much. All that said, though, I will wait until I see one in person before making a final determination. Either way, I won't be installing it on my Vibe, but to each their own!
