New Memeber

Post by cptnsolo77 »

Hey everyone.I just purchased a 03 and found this site for some info on the car.Very informativeThe car does have a couple of problems and i have searched the forums for some answers.I have 2 problems i couldnt find any info on.When i change gears (park to reverse) the gear selector lights go off and later come gack on.Is this normal? Is there some kind of a normal delay? The lights for the HVAC vents. One doesnt come on, but when i tap on it, comes back on.Sounds like a loose connection. Is it easily accessible from behind? Can i just pop off the knobs, remove the face and check for a loose connection? The car is great! is sporty looking and is very functional for my needs.Love the rear hatch area!

Maybe the bulb is loose. That bulb is replaceable, but I never paid attention to how hard it is.Other people have had bulbs burn out in the HVAC controls, and it is supposedly a hassle, and dealers seem to be unable to identify replacements. I haven't had to deal with it, but there are a couple fo threads here about that problem
