Hi Everyone,First thank you for welcoming me to the site, I really appreciate that. Sometimes one forgets that there are real people behind these messages.Ok, on to the fun, hopefully narrowed it down to the following five rims...lets start with what we are working with:2004 Vibe with Satellite color (two tone cladding in dark gray). I talked to a couple of people and I was told that the difference in ride from a 17" to a 18" is minimal. So, here are the 18" rims that I have narrowed it down to:Kosei K1 Moda Md2 msw type 11 ASA Ar2 or lastly Sport Edition CD all opinions appreciated here...there are just too many damn choices. And even if you hate them all, please let me know.thanks in advance,Marc
first of all, welcome to the family, 2nd, great color choice! 3rd... i'm partial to the gunmetal or black with a chrome lip. its a great accent to the cladding. and don't for get to drop that baby once you get the new treads.
de-badged o4 vibe
tein s-techs | 17" msr 105 wheels | 235 45 17 nexen n7000
weapon-r short ram (thanx BC!) | typeR sport pedals | LED 3rd brake
o2 triumph speed four
I had to vote for the Sport edition CD... It look burly, what can i say... I like the gunmetal center with the polished/machiened lip... The Kosei K1 would be my second... but they would have to be painted either gunmetal or black... I really thing these Rotas would look good...Tarmack 3GridI donno, there are many Rotas that i like, and from the info my Subaru board, they are inexpensive and good quality wheels... I'll prolly get Rotas when it's time for me...
Wow, I knew I knew next to nothing about cars, but I must REALLY know nothing. So far I am the only vote for the Moda's. I think that 5-spoke looks COOL!
OK, I ordered the rims...but guess what! The MSW type 11 and type 12 rims are brand new and haven't even arrived from the overseas manufacturer yet. There is a waiting list and the earliest I can get them is October / November timeframe. Ugh, someone else luckier than I will get them (they do look great especially the type 12s). OK. going with the second choice the sport edition CD...I also liked the third choice, but the price is about $100 more per rim. Thanks everyone, I will post pics after I do the install.Marc
It was pretty much a toss up between the MSW Type 11 and the ASA Ar2. The MSW's look pretty sweet, but I do like the multi spoke design of the ASA's.Too bad you can't go to the wheel and tire shop and and try on a whole bunch of different wheels like you would at a shoe store.
