Finally a Carbon Activated Cabin Filter!!

Post by BlueCrush »

I have been wanting one of these for a while now. I found it on Ebay for the Matrix. It is a little longer than ours, but its is soft enough to bend to close the filter door (or you can trim it). Now I don't have to be sitting in traffic and smell the other car's around me with their exhausts, coolant leak, oil leaks, burning rubber, etc... and think there is something wrong with my car. lol. Nice fresh clean air from now on!!! Here is the link to the Ebay Seller: http://motors.search.ebay.com/...inman

I just hit the recirculate button and filter the air in the cabin if I'm stuck in smelly diesel truck traffic. Works fine for me.

I had a carbon Filter but I took it out because it was blocking too much airflow & it was causing the mildew smell when the A/C ran too long.

Well after a month of having it in, it is working very well. Air flow is great, smells from other cars is minimal. I did several tests while sitting in traffic with windows open/fan off and windows closed/fan on and the smells were greatly reduced. I am very happy with this filter. Time to stock up!

i was wondering when you'd post up your review! yesterday i had to take my mom to a funeral, and we're sitting in traffic in 90° heat behind a diesel truck and i'm thinking, 'dude, i wonder how BC's carbon air filter would work right now' it wasn't until my mom said 'HUH?' that i realized i'd said it out loud. ok, when i ain't broke, i'm gonna stock up on these babies!thanx for the review
