Hi all.Was doing some research on the Vibe/Matrix and ran across this site on a Google search. WOW!! Why?? I would have never thought this car would have this kind of following. Nice site! I need a car for my wife to do her paper route in(insert laugh here). Right now she uses her '04 Ram/hemi and I think she gets about 0 mpg.I would like to know what you like about the vibe? I'm looking at an '07 or '08. How do you like the mp3/radio with the monsoon? My daily driver is a '90 Miata with 200k plus so I know about the love a car. Is the Vibe that kind of a car? The kind ya love? Check out Miata.netL8Rssssssss
welcome. GVC is a great place for research on the vibe/trix.yes, it does have "that" kind of following for the car. the vibe is a great car all around. not only is it spacious, it gets fantastic fuel economy and looks pretty darn sweet. it's pretty peppy for what it's worth not to mention pretty reliable (good 'ol toyota quality). sure, it's not perfect, but it's still a great car. we may not still have ours, but i'd recommend one to anyone.
Welcome to Genvibe. Personally, there are many things I like about my Vibe. It gets great gas mileage, it fits my wife, kids and dogs, it looks good inside and out (guages in particular look great at night), The monsoon package is great for a factory system, and the best thing about this car is free - Genvibe.com, in my opinion, the best forum on the internet. To answer your last question, Yes, I love my Vibe.
Welcome! We're glad you found us.My only gripe is the Vibe is a little lacking in the "get up and go" department but you'd be amazed at the amount of stuff you can fit in it (especially with the seats down )
welcome! I LOVE my vibe, if it were to get totaled I would no doubt go pick out another. My car is a 04 and has been reliable, gets great mileage, fits ...fit tons of my college stuff when I moved around. I feel its peppy for the 1.8L engine, theres slower cars. Theres also a lot for mods you can do performance and look wise. I drive like 300 miles a day for work and this car has NO issues doing it ...either does my wallet
Did you expect an unbiased opinion here? I think the Vibe would be perfect for her. Better than the Schwinn I used on my paper route! A friend of mine from work has a Miata that he supercharged. Not a bad little car.

Welcome to GenVibe! I love everything about the Vibe. The Moons & Toons sounds great for a stock system. Yes, the Vibe is THAT kind of car. Great looks, great storage, great gas mileage. She's a keeper!

Why not?Great on gas, great looks, immensely useful for hauling, reasonably priced, (I think it's Pontiac's secret) mine has been bulletproof. My lease is up just about the time the '09 models should be out.I'll either keep this one, or up to the '09.Your wife will love it.

We just ordered a 2008 for my wife to putz around in. We have a Ford Excursion diesel that she has been driving since 2003 that she was tired of trying to park and the fuel bill, while not bad for an 8000 lb truck, was getting old. We're keeping the Excursion to tow the trailers and stuff with and for times when we need a small bus for people-hauling duties. She wanted something in a small suv type of vehicle that she could haul stuff around in, something that got great gas mileage and something that was fun to drive (after an 8000 lb solid axle truck, anything would be "fun to drive" ). The Vibe fit our needs and our budget. We looked at the Honda CRV (too expensive for what you get), a Mazda CX-7 (harsh ride and sucks in the gas mileage game), an Acrua RDX (too expensive and poor fuel economy again) and a Buick Enclave (too expensive and too big for what she wanted) and the new Saturn Vue (no sunroof available, believe it or not). The Vibe was perfect and the fact it came available in a 5 speed was icing on the cake. She LOVES to drive a stick! We think we made a great choice! NOW, if it would just get here!
Brad. '08 Vibe on order as of 7-9-07. Finally delivered 10-9-07. Frosty, 5 speed. 35% tint, Pontiac exhaust tip, Pontiac all weather mats, Scan Gauge, clear bra.
Thanks for the replies. I kinda thought the Vibe was an enthusiast's car after reading some of the post and looking around in here. Gonna go drive one on Sat. Kinda like the wave blue. Sure hope the mod bug doesn't bite again. It can get outta control real fast.L8Rssssssss
