Scion TC brakes on a Vibe?

Post by Fred Allen Burge »

Hello, Wondering if TC brakes can be used on a Vibe. I have TC wheels on my 04 Vibe and was curious if the brakes would be useful for replacements or even maybe they would be an upgrade? Thanks,Fred

welcome to genvibe! that question I cannot answer... I am totally not sure if they use the same brakes :S The vibe does use the same brakes as a corolla or matrix though. So if you just wanted all disc then you could get a vibe gt brake set. The vibes stock brakes are pretty good already. even if you upgrade the rear (only base) drum brakes to disc they barely make a difference. Just make sure to have good pads and rotors in the front as they do most the work.

Just remember that the stock rims on a Tc are 17" (at least I think they are) so the rotors and calipers might require the 17" rim for clearence. Check before you buy unless you run 17" year round then you're fine.
