Tool actually came up to anchorage on their way to asia or something a few years back. it was during my "i hate everyone" phase. so at our concerts (before they banned alcohol on the bottom floor) we had the wet floor/mosh pit with the bar and 21 and over ONLY, and then the bleachers with the chairs and stands were for anyone else. yep... i was right down there in the mosh pit (also quite a bit younger in much better shape) drinking my beer and crowd surfing/moshing. holy crap, it was so much fun! but i will say that maynard is rather wierd, he just kinda stood towards the back of the stage in like one spot and sang to the side wall. still, we had a great time. :Dif the opportunity ever arises, i'll be making my way to a Korn concert. I'm sure you will have a great time, Randy! Tool is still one of my fave bands.
i saw korn back at their family values tour in '99. not too bad, but of course follow the leader was their newest album then.maynard is a very weird guy, but a lyrical/musical genius!the place we are seeing them at is where the St. Louis Blues play hockey.

He feels your there for the music, not to see some blue painted idiot run around stage.... He and TOOL are the [edited].
the last concert we went to was last summer's Godsmack. I've seen them before (when i was younger) and was looking forward to the moshpit. unfortunately, i'd been not feeling well so Mav wouldn't let me. i got close, but he figured out what i was doing and made me stand next to him... only one person away from the pit, too! LOL

Well I guess I'll just look like the bad guy who didn't want his sick wife to go into a pit with a bunch of dudes who wanted to punch everyone in the face while she could barely stand let alone defend herself.I'm past my mosh pit days. gotta look professional for work.

Still with the show there was NO need for mind altering drugs.... Still to this day it is in my top 5 best concerts EVER and i've literly been to HUNDREDS of concerts...

Professional looking isn't all it's cracked up to be...!!But seriously, you did her a favor, girls are tough, but mosh pits can be BADDD news for the weak and sickly.... i've gathered many mosh pit scars over the years...
That's the right attitude there girl... much depends on the show and the crowd to, sometimes it can be really fun, sometimes it's just stupid dangerous.back in the day, there was a "code of conduct" that 95% of the hardcore kids followed, that has been forgotten today by the majority. Rarely did people get hurt like todays shows, back then... although, trust me, people still got hurt back then....
Not a fan of them, but I just wanted to say that a guy I know at work went to their show in Evansville recently and says it was the best show he's ever been to, one of those things where you don't want the show to end.Anyway, huh huh huh huh..... tool.... huh huh huh....
