i really don't know much about HID conversions, just that they look a helluva lot better than standard halogens. about the only thing i can tell you is that i've heard more than once that some of the cheaper kits that are available can be a b**** to install, so choose carefully. good luck man.i just remembered that mrizzle was gonna sell his HIDs at one time, so check with him n see if he still has embtw, that is one sexy color on your vibe

I'm just going to lay thins on the table.... It is not a good idea to use HID bulbs in non-HID reflectors, others will dissagree, but it's much better if you do a proper HID projector converstion rather than just replace bulbs... less light scatter and better aiming... There are some here that have both, a projector conversion from like a BMW X5 and some that have just bulb conversions, without proper A/B testing between them it's hard to say.... I'll link you to this post, just because it's about to dissappear... good reading... http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=28670

QUOTE]+1 agreed. The conversions with projectors are better but need to be aimed carefully as well. D2R bulbs are the kind you find in older Acuras and the last gen Maxima and such. They are made for reflector housings, but only from those cars because of their cutoffs. D2S bulbs are made for projector style housings that most use today. Light scatter is a huge issue, sure you get more light, but you are also losing light due to the aiming and scatter effect. I would just get something like a GE Nighthawk of Sylvania Xtravision bulb. I would recommend the HIRs I put in my Matrix, but you guys take a 9003 not 9006. Although they would work in your fog lamps since those are 9006 for all of us.
Well, yes, but a proper X5, TSX, S2000 or any other good HID projector from another factory ride will do the trick, but not at the above listed prices.... Someone here has X5 projectors, i just don't know who.... saw the pic though....HOT real HOT
you know me in HID.... Hahaha..I have them both in my fogs and headlights.Love them both.I don't have projector retrofits for either... the light bleed off is very min... fact is most new cars today have a very well built reflector. If you have 500-1000 bucks laying around get the retrofit done... most don't, I know I don't.I have been running my hids for months now with out a problem.Cops just pass me right by. I have NEVER had someone flash me their highbeams...(keep is nice boys) lol I do regret not getting the hid low and hid highbeam. I went with hid lows and halogen high beams. As for the ones you have posted.I can't say anything good about them.I would suggest you contact other buyers and see how they like them.
