Screenings of Serenity for charity

Post by redlava »

I know there are several Firefly/Serenity fans on this board but, I wanted to let you all know about the 2nd annual "Serenity Now, Equality Now" event on or around the weekend of June 23rd. In a nut shell, Browncoats from around the world organize screenings of the Big Damn Movie in local theaters and the proceeds go to a charity called Equality Now. Go here for more information on screenings in your area. http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/ Link for the Equality Now website. http://www.equalitynow.org/english/index.htmlLast year we raised $60,000 and this year we want to do better than that. So if you missed out on your chance to see Serenity on the big screen now is a perfect time to do it. There will be screenings in Des Moines, Minneapolis, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto, Vancouver just to name a few.

Just in case anybody was wondering, the CSTS charity event has raised almost $100,000 for Equality Now.
