So now Al Roker is on the I said a bad thing bandwagon. Funny thing about this is that he was a BIG advocator for Imus' firing. Now he has people petitioning and picketing for his release. I sure hope he now knows what it feels like to be in this position, hypocrite. But I do not feel he should be fired cause it was unfair for Don and unfair for him as well. Also notice you don't see Al Sharpton on this bus either, guess he only goes after the white man. Not that I'm racist, but I think Al Sharpton is.

This is what they want him fired for?This is, no doubt, from the same (or similar minded) group who threatened to sue Disney if they didn't change the name of the Hunchback of Notre Dame to "The Bell Ringer" because they thought the title (170 years old) was offensive to hunchbacked people.

It seems like a stupid thing to fire somebody over. I thought it was kind of funny.By the way, I'm still waiting for Sharpton to apologize to the Duke lacrosse team members.

People with epilepsy have epilieptic seizures, like flashing lights and strobes and stuff cause them to seizure, fall to the ground and shake. So he made the joke about people getting off the ground to watch his segment, noting that they were probably having seizures.I never liked Al Roker to begin with, so I could care less what he does, but I def. think that once again, you have the choice of flipping the dial. And my morning commute sucks now cause I have nothing good to listen to and I am not buying a satellite radio.

Yeah, I understand the joke I don't understand how it was offensive. Were people with epilepsy pissed off or something? And have you seen that logo? I'm offended by that!Reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons where they go to Japan and they see an anime cartoon on TV and the family goes into seizers. Didn't hear any outcry from that. I'm all for people watching what they say and not offending people, but sometimes people just need to chill out. Celebrities and easily offended people meet me at camera 3. Celebrities watch what you say, there are lots of people out there who may not share your same viewpoints and sense of humor. Easily offended people, SHUT UP!!! Go back to your jobs, your families and keep quiet. If you continue to feed Al Sharpton he will just keep coming back and annoy us all.

Yeah apparently the logo moves around or something I have not seen it yet.I do remember that simpsons episode it was hysterical, and they even played that part all through the credits.I agree the whiny pants people need to mind their own business and get back to their own lives. Like these mothers who rampage about rollerblades being bad and bad video games and such. Meanwhile their kid is home along probably playing them all at the gae of 7 cause she is never around to take care of him.

Well, people are free to protest and boycott and what ever. It's a freedom of expression issue, I suppose.The problem becomes one of expectations. Somewhere along the way, we allowed activists to convince people that somewhere in the constitution is a right to NOT be offended by something. And, if you are, there need to be consequences.Well, so long as the offended party are liberals, anyway. Because, they clearly couldn't care less if conservatives are offended.At any rate, the thing is that 9 times out of 10 the people you would thing should be offended by any given thing aren't. It's the activists groups out there pushing things on the basis that people SHOULD be offended, and if they aren't they will take it upon themselves to be offended FOR them.You see it in all sorts of areas. The push for teams with Native American (which we used to be allowed to call Indian) names and logos to change them.Most of these things are just annoyances. It's when you start imposing political correctness in other aspects of life that you have problems.I'll stop there, since going any further would dictate that my comments be moved to the asylum. Though, that's probably where the thread should have started since the comments were bound to head that way, I suppose.
