Just replaced my exhaust system from before cat (just rite out the manifold) to tip with all magniflow system, cat, silencer, muffler and tip. After I did a test run after I instaled it had some surging going on and did not think nothing of it so this morning going to work next thing check engine go's on. The hole system is bolt on and cant think of anything that I did wrong, O2 censer is on and every thing bolted down tight. Any helpfull ideas that anyone can come with will be apreciated.....nuvibe

Did you reset your computer after the install? Did you unplug the negative of the batt when you started? If so, you probably already reset the computer. If not, go unplug the negative of the batt. them press the brake pedal for a few seconds to drain down the memory caps in the ECU and reconnect... Then start her up and go for a spirited ride.... drive smoothly on the way home for a cool down (but make sure you get the cooling fans to kick on at some point) when you get home, shut her down, give it a few and start her back up... The ECU should learn the exhaust by doing that... Again, if you did unplug the negative when you did the install.... disregard...
Sublimewind, Thank's for the Info. No I did not unplug or disconect the negative side of the batt. but will try this out and hopfuly this will work my problem. Thank's again....nuvibe
I hope they work out better than the one's in TX. Why are you just sitting there looking at your skirt's whene you can be fitting them on your ride.....nuvibe
Well I have not done the batt. disconection yet but I know why the C/E light go on. When I put in revers and press on the gas the engine twist's a little bit and the at the bottom of the manifold where they bolt up, I get an exhaust leak. But I tightend the bolt's all the way, I dont get it. I need to get under there this week end and fix it or see what's the deal. I will let you know untill then......nuvibe
I may have damaged it or moved it when I was installing the new exhaust. I gues I'll stop by the part's store and pick up a new one just incase.....nuvibe
Well I have found the problem and I did have an exhaust leak and could not find it untill I had to take the hole system out. I was looking over the system and noticed there was a weld crack by the cat on top so I could not see it from below when I was checking it on the car (installed) so put the stock one back on but the cat back section. Runs and sounds alot better and no check engine light on. Just want to say Thank's for all the help that every one has given me to fix the problem.....nuvibe
