Valve Adjustment

Post by discojunkie76 »

Still got a rough Idle MAF's been cleaned, plugs are good, and now it seems to stumble on acceleration, however in the almighty owners manual, it says to check for tappet noise and or rough idle at 60k miles (I got 56k), if either present adjust valves to specs, I remember this being a common cure all when I worked on Hondas. So if anyone has cured a rough idle with a valve adjustment, let me know, also how complicated the process would be, is it a simple screw and nut setup? or something more complicated if anyone knows let me know.

I don't know if a valve adjustment would fix your rough idle, but a search turns up this thread http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=8160 on valve adjustments

I'm thinking dirty fuel injectors. Run a bottle or two of Techron through it before you start ripping the engine apart. It made my '06 with 50,000 miles run smoother.
