Vibe Safety and Crash Tests?

Post by Twistylocs »

Hi all, It's been awhile since I posted, but you know how it is when real life gets in the way... My husband and I have *finally* come to a decision on the car we want, and it's looking like a toss-up between the Vibe and the Honda CR-V. We're both leaning toward the Vibe, but I haven't been able to find any information on crash tests and vehicle safety (other than rollover ratings) for the vehicle. If anyone has any information or links to web articles, I'd sure appreciate it if you posted them here. Thanks!

So far, the only updated information has come from NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) at:http://www.nhtsa.gov/NCAP/Cars/2003Cmpt.htmlHowever, it seems the Vibe/Matrix is listed in another place at NHTSA categorized as an SUV but that information has not been updated since it was posted. I am assuming they are going to permanently keep the vehicle listed under the Car category. If you want to see, here is the other link where it is listed as an SUV:http://www.nhtsa.gov/NCAP/Cars/2003SUVs.htmlMy best bet would say to keep an eye on the first link as that will show all pertinent information when it is available.
