ok so i got the moons and tunes package and i replaced the head unit, now my problem is that the factory amp is crap. I wanna replace it with a four channel amp and b4 i go and cut any wires i was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers

It is not an easy thing to do but nothing is impossible. I think the easiest way to do it, it is to start from scratch. Use the RCA output of your head unit, then run the RCA wire up to your new amp and rewire the door speaker. Trying to use the original speaker wiring seems to be a pain for me. And, by using that way, you will keep the stock wiring intact and it will be easy to put back the audio system as original if necessary.

so did i get ripped off when the salesman and tech guy at the store i bought my stereo stuff from said the factory amp wouldnt work with aftermarket speakers and deck?? they said it needed about 1 hr($50) of rewiring work. plus i bought a new amp(my choice).

The salesman was wrong, you can use an aftermarket haed unit with the upgraded stereo system. You have to use the pre-amp. output of you new deck, not the amplificated one.But I think you made the wright choise by rewiring the whole thing. Your audio system will be completly independant then the stock one, and it will be very easy to put back the original sound system.
