Saw this ad for the 2008 Scion xB in the latest issue of Houston Press. At first I thought, "Actually, that's a cool improvement on the breadbox." Then, I read the disclaimer on the bottom!
the body shape has changed though. they just have to say that because it has aftermarket wheels and possibly a body kit. it's a little less squared though!

Here a pic of a stock one... looks like the only obvious difference in the stock vs. the first post is the wheels, it's lowered, and the little light thingies on the bumper.
it's got an "appearance package" on it too. it looks better than the current model, but it still reminds me of a damn lunchbox

Funny how Toyota prides themselves on the ability of a customer to customize those hideous things with parts from Toyota without fear of voiding warranties... Yet they turn around and use non-Toyota parts in an official piece of marketing and state it would void warranties if said non-Toyota crap was installed.. Who the hell does their marketing? lolAnyway, I agree - it still looks like a lunch box.

Car and Driver magazine had a quite negative review. The car is 600 pounds heavier with no more room. Basically, they said the cool factor went to zero.
