Getting my Vibe this weekend (I hope)

Post by BrentDev »

End of 2003 model run is getting tough! Couldnt find a Shadow GT, so had to go with my second choice - Satellite. It was at a dealership in DC, so they are bringing it down today/tomorrow? to the Hampton Roads area.So - summary: Satellite GT, monotone/moon/tunes/power/side airbag (a plus I guess) and then 500 in dealer accessories (I guess I have to take those ) I think the accessories were: cargo mat, wind deflector (is that for the sunroof or windows?) wheel locks , bumper protector. Certainly not 500 in options. Think I am getting ripped on that one. At least I am getting it at GMS price and 0%. You watch - next month they will bring back the GM loyalty discount. I may get upset if that happens. Will post pics whenever I can find time (and if we can get it this weekend)

Congrats on your Vibe! Sounds like it will be nice. The only wind deflector that I know of from GM is the one that goes on the hood. I'm not sure how the items you mentioned added up to $500, but I would definately check that out.

I thought the wind deflector was for the moon/sun roof. You may be right on the hood though.

I've never heard of one for the moonroof....when you retract the moonroof, a deflector goes up automatically...doesn't do a whole lot, but that's as close as I've seen.

The Dealer here in Chattanooga has a Shadow GT monotone, 17" Wheels, DVD NAV, Side Airbags. Sharp car, was gonna buy it myself but dedcided to wait and see what 2004 has to offer.go to http://www.gmbuypower.com and fill out the form for vibe GT and use 37421 for zip. The Dealer is the first one listed Long Pontiac on International Drive. Look for the shadow GT one and click window sticker to see all the details.Never know, might be worth trying to get it, if that was your first choice. I like the Shadow much better then the Satellite.good luck,Grumpy as usual

Thanks Grumpy....but that would be within 1.5 hours of my parents (Lenoir City) and I'd have to make a visit...... ha ha haThere MAY be an update: Going to get the car tomorrow (provided they got it in). Turns out he swapped with another dealership - same car, but without the 500 in extra add-ons which didnt add up to 250.
