2007 Michigan Super MeetDate: July 14thTime: Starts at 11:00am and ends whenever we decide to leave!Place: Stoney Creek Metro Park (Oakgrove Parking lot)Here is the website for the metro park including a map if you click the link on the left hand side of the page. The address and phone number of the park are also on the page:http://www.metroparks.com/parks/pk_stony_creek.phpMy Contact info. email: dyingstar@email.comAIM: RollinVibecell: (586) 549-6846There is a $4 daily park pass fee required to get into the park or you can buy a yearly pass for I think like $20 or somewhere in that neighborhood. If you want me to pay for your pass just call me and I'll drive over to the toll booth and pay it no problem If possible please RSVP ASAP so I can start buying the food and all that. The lot has a covered picnic area and grills so I will be grilling dogs and maybe hamburgers. Also be bringing pop and all that good stuff. If anyone wants to bring any other item of food feel free and let me know This is going ot be an "ANY CAR GOES" meet to ensure a bigger turnout. Last year there were only 8 Vibes at the super meet and it isn't fair to the people that drive long distances to be greeted with such a smal turnout. The Michigan crowd seemed to have fallen asleep or something so I encourage out of staters to come but I can't promise alot of Vibes. There will be alot of other cars there for sure. Last meet I hosted had about 20 cars and that was mostly just friends of mine. So invite all of your friends that have a passion for cars or that just want to hang out, everyone's welcome in all kinds of cars and trucks, all makes and models...oh and bikes are welcome too. I might have my g/f drive my Vibe there and I'll bring the new Ducati So start putting in those work requests and getting out the wax and tire shine it's gonna be a blast!!!The red circled lot is where we will be:FOR THOSE COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN:Here is a link to local hotels that are within 6-7 miles of where the meet is being held. Your best choices would be any of the hotels from "A" through "E" as they are the closest. There are also a bunch of MOTELS that are cheaper in the area if you would like to go that route. If you want me to check a few of them out call me and I'll drive around and find some for you that are close. Again, if you need any directions what so ever, I know this area like the back of my hands so I can get you there. In this part of Michigan, all the roads are grid locked so it's not hard to navigate them at all.LINK TO HOTELS:http://maps.google.com/maps?hl...&cd=1LIST OF ATTENDEES:-ME---Vibe and my Ducati-Chris---350z-Chris's friends---???-Sublimewind and friend---Tuburon-Tony---Alero-Justin---GSX-R or Mustang-Paul---'83 Vette or Yamaha R6-Mark---lifted F-150 or Suzuki bike-Andrea---Blazer Extreme-AJFlan---Vibe-Ledfootin'---Vibe-Mr.Joe---Vibe-02csnow---Vibe-Darren---Contour-Carlo---Vibe-Inder---Sentra or Vibe-Jamie---Harley Sportster-JFreakie---Cavalier-ashleymc_38 + friends---Trail Blazer-Carl---'88 monte Carlo SS-Mike---Civic Si-Jason---Altima-Nick---MR2-Xac---Mustang GT-Joe---GSXR-Bunch of other bikers from my bike club: DSB.People I have not called yet but will most likely be there: -Dave---Ram1500 or Kawasaki Vulcan (pending)-Leah---Vibe (pending)-David---Kawasaki ninja (pending)-psiu---Vibe (pending)-ShadyVibe---Vibe (pending)-Tony's dad---'73 Mustang Mach 1 (pending)-Friends of some of the people listed above will be coming too...
http://popvssoda.com:2998/And...maybe I'll make it and meet some Vibers. But dunno yet--wifey usually works on Saturdays so wouldn't be getting all the way up there until 4:30 at the earliest.
lol...i say coke too sometimes. but yea i dunno how late everyone else would be there. I'll be there til everyone leaves but I don't know when that will be. probably around 5 or 6.
countin on being there. I just got an 04 trailblazer and joined trailvoy.com for the Trailblazer and Envoy enthusiasts But getting the word out to some people on there because some ppl want to meet up so I thought that it might be a good opportunity to get some more ppl comin
It wont be all vibes just because there are only like two or three of us who are actually active on here. There are basically no vibe or matrix enthusiasts around here. It will be fun to check out the other rides though!
Good idea. As long as there no one there with spinners we'll be ok j/k....I gues if they have spinners I'll just deal with it for a few hours lol.....but yea, the more the better so let them know. See if you can get a rough head count so I know how much food to bring and all that stuff. No one on Matrixowners.com has even replied to my post yet about it so I don't even think there are any Matrix owners in Michigan. They don't even have a Michigan forum over there for some reason...figure that one out.
That's fine, like I said I will have alot of my own friends there so there will be a big turnout for sure but get as many people as you can because then there will be more to look at

Well my friend lives in St. Joseph/ Benton Harbor area. So i figured i would just stay with him for a week. But i yes i am driving the 13 hours from VA and then driving the 3-4 hours to the meet.I am dedicated.
It doesnt have to be a huge turnout just for me. I just want to meet some other vibe owners. There are really none around here, except for K-Nine. Weel there are, but i dont think any of them know about Genvibe and are into their cars.
Do we have an estimated number of "Yes I'll be there!" yet? If there are going to be a decent amt. of Vibes there... then I'll think about making the trip.

The list on the first post is what I have so far. I update it everytime I hear news from someone Another thing I didn't mention, after the meet, there is a classic car cruise in downtown Mt.Clemens (about 20-25 minutes away from the meet) that a few of us, or everyone if they want, will be going to. Last few years they had flame thrower and burnout competitions and stuff, it was alot of fun. TONS of American muscle and alot of imports as well as bikes and everything you can think of. It's pretty close to the freeway too so if your home is south of Detroit, I-94 is right there downtown.
Hmm...lodging. I know there are a few hotels by the Dave and Busters on Hall road and M-53. I'll see if I can find links to them.I will post the hotel link on the first post in this thread for those coming frmo out of town that would like to stay the night here!!Ok, click on the following link, and any of the hotels from A through E would be your best bet. Basically, to get to the meet you can just take M53 (which is RIGHT next to the hotels, you can see it from them) You can try any of the other hotels in the link if you want but A-E would be pretty closest. If you look at the map, you can see Stoney Creek Metro Park if you scroll up a little bit. Follow M53 on the map up until 26 mile road. To get to Stoney you would take M53 North I believe and take the 26 mile road exit and turn left on 26 mile road. once on 26 mile road take it down past Mound road and Stoney will be on your right hand side.http://maps.google.com/maps?hl...&cd=1
Not sure what my plans are yet for that weekend... But I'll definitely make sure I get a chance to stop by. It'll be a blast! I may even get my wife to drive her Vue out, although it dosrn't have all the mods mine did.
2007 Frosty Pontiac Vibe, picked it up 6-01-071480 milesLife is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming..."WOW! What a ride!"
Alot of the members of the bike club I belong to are going on a charity ride for a person that was killed by a drunk driver and I believe the ride ends at stoney so there might be a ton of bikes showing up later on at the meet Man, I posted this on Matrixowners.com to invite them too and I got flamed! They accused me of trying to "steal the thunder" as they put it, of thier annual Pittsburgh meet! I couldn't believe it! No wonder half the people on genvibe hate that forum...most of them are *******s...Here I thought I was doing something nice and inviting them lol....I wont be going on that forum ever again.
Hey Guys,I'm new to the forum and love the information I've been finding here! Count me in on the rally! I won't be able to get my wife to come along but I'll be there.I have a brand new '06 silver GT, no real mods yet but... It replaces an '04 GT that I totaled two months ago.
Platinum '06 GT: F1 Racing Stage 1 Clutch w/10lb. Flywheel, Magnaflow Cat Back, Typhoon SRI, TRD Strut Bar, TRD Sway Bar Set, Eleminated Moon Roof Soft Stop, Horn Lock Conformation, Color Matched Key Hole Covers, Rear Bumper Protector, Debadged.

I am a little behind, but i might want to come down... it's only 147mi for me (central Mi) I need to talk with the girlyfriend and see if she wants to come and/or try and get off work (her) I don't work weekends anymore (thank god)I'll try and let ya'll know tomorrow. Aaron
Sounds good. Maybe we can beat last year's record of 8 Vibes at the Super meet, granted there will be a ton of other cars but we need more Vibes to rep
Yeah, if i come, i won't be bringing my Vibe, i haven't gone an got it yet.... I was my Grandmas and she passed a while ago, so going to get it in Buffalo and going to her house is going to be really difficult, not to mention driving her car. So i'm waiting on my mother and Aunt to get things together for her memorial service being held there.... We layed her to rest in her families plot in Va already, it's just getting together for the memorial now.... On a lighter note, i'll most likely come with my girlfriends brother, another car enthusist and owner of an 04' Hundi Tiberon (sp?)I forgot to call him last night, but i doubt it wil be a problem....
